Chapter 7 : The Denial

Vince's POV

I'm Vincent Madrigal, son of the most influential couple in the Philippines. We always top as the richest family in the country.  Take note, richest family. Why?, because my mother owns the biggest hotels in the country and soon, branches will open outside the country. My father is the owner of the most successful businesses in the Philippines. Foods, clothing, resorts, etc. Halos ata lahat ng business gusto na niyang pasukin. But I must say, he manages to be the best in all of that. And sila lang naman ang founder ng Empire University. My friends' parents, lets say, they are just investors. Kaya kung tutuusin, pagmamay-ari namin yon.

I'm a model, just a hobby. Networks are fighting over me, but being an actor is not my thing. I'm an artist. I draw. It's my passion. I don't know what more I can do with my life. I guess it's the case if you were born rich. I never had a plan. Oh I do, before, until Kate dumped me. I'm not happy about my life. Yes we are rich but money can't buy everything, even time. Yun yung hinihingi ko sa parents ko, but they never gave me that.

Si Samantha Andrade. 18 years old. Her mother is an accountant, and the father is a business man. Iniwan sila ng father niya dahil sumama ito sa kabit niya, his secretary. Oo, mayaman sila dati. Pero after iwan sila ng kanyang ama. Nawala na lahat, walang iniwan sa kanila. Nakakamangha kung pano mo titingnan na nakakaya ng ina ni Sam na itaguyod siya ng maayos. She is a scholar. Kaya nakakatulong siya, dahil nababawasan yung tuition na dapat binabayaran nila at nakakapasok siya sa no. 1 university in the country. Kahit papano she's lucky. Imagine th great future ahead of her.

It's very inspiring to know how tough they are. Yes, I know all of these because I hired an investigator. Not that I want to know her well, nor I'm concerned about her. I just want to know if tama ba na sinabi ko sa kanya lahat ng yon. Well, now I think that what I did wasn't right.

I also found out na si Ross ay bestfriend ni Sam. Si Ross. That name. I know him very well.

Pero, tama ba yung ginawa ko? Bakit parang pakiramdam ko I need to apologize. Was that too much? Baka kung anong gawin nila Jerome sa kanya. I know them. I know how they play. I think this isn't right. I need to stop them.

Wait nga. Bakit ako ganto. Teka, I'm mad at her, right? Why am I feeling this way. Why am I thinking of her. Siya panga nauna eh, binato niya ko ng sapatos sa University Bridge. Many students might have seen that. Ano nalang iisipin nila? Kinakayan-kayanan lang ako ng tulad niya. And, a girl! No way!

"Vince, what have you been up to? It's been a long time since Kate.......", Vince's mom.

"Mom! Stop it! You know I don't wanna hear that name. Not from you! Not from anybody!"

"Vince! Don't talk to your mother that way! We didn't raise you to be as rude as you are right now.", Vince's dad.

"Wait. Did I hear that right? Coming from you, that you raised me? Are you sure? Oh, hindi ko lang nakikita na nandito kayo sa tabi ko kahit sa totoo wala naman. Where were you when I needed you? Now tell me that I don't have any right to be mad at you."

"Vince!" Sigaw ni Dad. Dali-dali akong lumabas at tinalikuran sila.

"Manong, ihatid mo na ko sa school."

"Ok po Sir Vince."

Si Dianne nagtext. Ituloy pa kaya nila yung plano nila?

"Hi. Good Morning Vince! Everything is all set. Inaantay ka nalang namin. Come early. This is going to be fun :)))"

"Manong, pakibilisan po. I can't be late. Doon na po tayo sa pinakamabilis na way. Please."

"Ok Sir. Makikipag-date po ba kayo. Mukang nagmamadali po kayo ngayon ah. Babae po yan, no? Haha"
