Chapter 8 - Shirtless

It's officially been a week since I have been here.

A week. Officially.

And Hiccup says he has a treat for me. He won't tell me what it is, but he said that I will absolutely love it.

I hope I will.

Right now, it's lunch, and I'm walking to Meade hall. All week I have been eating the food that Valka makes, but I want to meet...more people. I want people to see me.

And I want to see if that girl is here.

Remember that girl with the brown/white/black hair and blue eyes? Yep, that's the one.

I haven't seen her around...which is odd, and I totally forgot about her before. I haven't said anything to Hiccup because what if he discovers that she is in possession of the illegal drug? Will she be taken away.

I want answers before anything like that happens.

I must investigate before she gets pressed the charges.

I open the wide double doors and I gulp as I see many Vikings in the great hall.

I collect my food and I sit at a vacant table, craning my neck to see if the girl with the drug is here.

She's not.

Sighing, I pick up my chicken drum stick and I pull a chunk of meat off with my fingers and pop it into my mouth. I look around some more and I don't see anyone I know.

I look around, looking for Astrid as well. Astrid has said nothing about the incident last night. Hiccup had asked her about the grazes and the bruises but she just said, "I feel down of the stairs."

She is handling it quiet well with the fact she nearly got taken and potentially...um...used.

I have seen Astrid asking Gobber about a figure in a dark green coat and if he knew anything about her. Gobber knew nothing.

Astrid is traumatised, so I am happy about that. I wonder if she would treat me any differently if she knew it was me?

Probably, but then she would want to know how I could...er...do those things that I did.

"HEY EMBER!" says Tuffnut as he sits across from me.

"Hey" I say.

He smiles widely and takes a chunk of his drumstick off with his teeth. "You look miserable. Why are you miserable?"

"Hu? Oh, no, I'm fine."

"Do you have any sticks?"

"Sticks?"

He nods. "I need some sticks."

"Why?"

"For a prank I wanna pull on Ruffnut."

I shake my head. "You can go the woods and get some."

His face lights up. "For free?"

Is he for real?

"Yes, for free."

He jumps up, about to rush out when he stops and slaps his face. "Oh, almost forgot. Here."

He throws a crumbled bit of paper at my face and runs off.

Sighing, I unravel the paper and I smirk.
