Hiccup literally drags me through the village, tugging my arm as we race to Gothi's.

"It doesn't make sense!" He says for the umpteenth time. He keeps saying those four words over and over again. Poor Hiccup.

"Saying it won't suddenly make it make sense" I sigh as I almost trip over some rough ground as he continues to pull me.

I clench my teeth as my stomach starts to hurt.

He suddenly stops, and I almost run into him. His forest green eyes are glowing brightly. He stares at me, like he's trying to decipher this predicament by looking into my violet eyes.

"It doesn't make sense because we never had sex" he says, making me flinch at his out-right statement.

It's funny how he he said you two having sex....no, he didn't say that someone else could be the father...

I blush. Go away

"I-I know, but maybe I'm not pregnant. Maybe--"

He turns and starts to drag me off again.

Gothi must be psychic. Because she knows straight away why Hiccup and I burst through her front door.

"Ember" her voice murmurs in my mind. "This baby is no ordinary baby."

Hiccups face pales as he hears her voice to.

Not bothering to explain herself, Gothi gestures for me to sit, and I do so gladly. Hiccup scoots closer to me, looking worried and shocked.

"Wildsouls can have children without any sort of effort. On Snoggletog, if both Wildsoul have passionate love for another, and have feelings to do..intimate things, just by touch, the males essence goes to the woman and fertilises her."

I blush harder. "But that wasn't that long ago! And I'm already growing so...quickly."

Gothi's solemn eyes gaze at me. "Child. A Wildsouls pregnancy only lasts for a week or so."

I feel faint, but Hiccup looks on the brink of passing out. "Week?"

Gothi nods. "Yes. Hiccup..." She gives him a side-glance look as she walks over to a table off hers, riddled with pots and bowls full of ingredients. "You are now a father to a very, very powerful child. I suggest you decide what your next move is."

I'm pregnant. Pregnant.

Gothi hands me some medicine for the pains and cramps I might experience, before Hiccup and I leave in a daze, both pale and light headed. As we leave, making it down the side of the small cliff-like hill Gothi's house sits upon, I can tell this has shifted everything. And now I worry about Astrid. Oh gods oh gods oh gods...

"We will hide it" Hiccup murmurs, giving me a soft look. "Hide it as best we can. Worst comes to worst, we tell everyone Gothi' made you a potion which speeds pregnancy."

"Hiccup..."

"And I'll get a cot set up in your room as soon as possible, with some other things for the baby."

"Hiccup..."

"And I'll move in with you, help with--"

"Hiccup" I say, moving so I stand in his path with my hand out on his chest to stop him. I bite my lip as I look at him, tears welling in my eyes. "You can't. Everyone thinks you are with Astrid. Do you not know the uprise that might be caused if they found out this is hue child and you aren't even with me? Valka will be furious, Stolin will use this as a weapon, Astrid will be heartbroken..."
