Neighbor Boy

I woke up to birds chirping outside my window. I got our of bed and took a shower and put on a pink tank top and put another loose tank top on over that, that said, " I'm not short, I'm funny size." I put on a pair of jeans and boots.

 I went downstairs and I saw a note on the fridge door. I read it and it said that the little one where going on a field trip to the museum and that Ryan and Emma left early and that the new guy would be here in an hour. I put the note back on the fridge and grabbed a bowl from the cabinet and poured some cereal. I quickly ate that and put it in the dishwasher. 

I went to the whiteboard and saw that the new hay deliver would be coming any minute. I went out the back door to see the deliver coming down the driveway. The men unloaded it off the truck and sat it next to the barn for me then left. 

Great I get to do this all by myself. I was strong for my age, I knew that from all the chores I do around the house so I knew that I could handle it. I was working on the hay when I heard a whistle and I looked up to see a boy around my age walk up to me. I looked at him and I think my heart stopped. He had the same color eyes as me. 

He stopped mid-step too. 

I dropped the hay that I was carrying and just stood there. As I was looking him in the eye's his eye color was changing to blue for both of his eyes. He kept staring at me too. All of a sudden he walked up to me and climbed up the stack of hay to where I was on and he grabbed my hands. I couldn't stop staring at him, he was so cute he had brown hair and blue eyes and he was muscular.

 "Hi, my name is Matt." I heard him say.

 "Hi, my name is Samantha." I said back. 

"That is a beautiful name." He said. I blushed a little and smiled at him. I sat down and he sat down next to me.

 "So I guess were Soul Mate's" He said. 

"Yeah, if you don't want to be my Soul Mate tell me now, please." I said has I was looking at my hands. I felt someone grab my chin and he made me look at him. 

"I want to be your Soul Mate, I don't want to loose, Soul Mate's are so special." He said and he leaned in and kissed me. I kissed him back. This was my first kiss, it was so amazing, I felt like fireworks were going off behinds us or something. He pulled back and smiled at me. 

"So, what do you want me to do boss." He said teasing me. 

"Well, first off we need to finish up stacking this hay in the barn." I said, as I stood up and started to grab the hay.

 I felt hands grab my waist, he turned me around and said, "I'm so glad I found you." He said. 

"Me too," I said. I got out of his hold and grabbed the hay and started stacking it.

 He was right behind me. We got that done so quickly. We finished up all of the chores for the day in about 5 hours. We had missed lunch. I didn't even notice until my stomach growled. I think Matt heard my stomach and looked at me and smiled. I smiled back. I grabbed his hand and took him in through the back door to the kitchen.

 He sat down at the island and I started making some sandwich's and he told me what he wanted on it and he started asking me some question's about myself. "So how many siblings do you have?" He asked. 

"I have a twin sister named Emma, I have a older brother his name is Ryan, a little sister her name is Melody and two younger brother, their names are Aaron and Tyler." I said as I was getting the beard. 

"Wow, you have a lot of siblings," He said. 

"Yeah, I know but I love them all," I said, "So how many sibling's do you have?" I asked him.

 "I have a little brother named Henry." Matt said. 

"So do you go to high school still, Matt?" I asked him. 

"No I finished early and know I'm working on a farm," He said with a smile. I smiled back at him.

 " Me too, I just finished high school a couple of days ago." I told him.

 "Cool, that means we can some time with each other," Matt said. 

"Yes, it does." I said. After I was done making the sandwiches I put his in front of him and sat down next to him and started eating. 

" All of the little ones are home schooled and Ryan and Emma go to school. Ryan is in college." I told him.

 "Cool, where are the younger ones?" He asked. 

"Their on a field trip to a museum." I said. "Cool, Do you want to go on a ride with me after were done eating?" I asked him.

 "Sure, that would be fun." Matt said has he smiled at me. I smiled back at him. After we were done, I grabbed our plates and put them in the dishwasher. Matt grabbed my hand and we walked toward the barn, where the horses were. 

"Wow you have a lot of animals." Matt said. "Yeah, I own three of the horse, I gave one to my twin sister Emma, but King is my favorite he's the black one. You can ride Oreo or Moose their the tan ones." I said. 

"I think I'll ride Moose." Matt said. 'I haven't rode him yet, I just got them last weekend." I said. I grabbed King and Moose from their stalls and tied them outside so we could put their saddles on. 

"Have you ever ridden a horse?" I asked him. 

"Yeah, I used to work on a cattle farm, so I had to learn." Matt told me. 

"Cool," I said. When we were done putting their saddles on the horses. I started to walk over to the steps but I felt someone grab me around the waist and put me on the horse. I looked down to see Matt smiling at me.

 I laughed and said, "Don't pick me up I weigh to much," I said laughing. 

"No, you don't, you are so light." Matt said. Matt got on Moose and we started riding to the open field. Matt kept up to me. I went up to him and said,

 "Tag," and I made King run across the field and I finally looked behind me and he was catching up . I stopped real quick which made Matt ride right passed me and I laughed. I went to a little path near the woods, which had a tree knocked over from a storm and I would use it as jumping practice. Matt was catching up with me and me and King got near the tree and he jumped over it. I loved jumping so much. I felt King slowing down and finally I felt a hand touch my shoulder and I heard Matt say tag. I laughed and smiled at me. Matt smiled right back at me. This was the best day in the world I thought as we rode for several hours.
