"So . . . I asked Pansy out!" Madeline squeals into my ear as we walk down the corridor.
"Oh . . . okay," I reply as I am reminded of the deal I made a few days ago. This is my chance, I can remove that deal from my life forever -- but only if I can say the words.
"Did you ask him out yet?" she asks me.
I think of the moonlight kissed hair, the storm clouded eyes and say, "No, but I will soon."

It was also where it all began -- the insanity, the hurt, the quiet kisses in deserted corridors, the passing of notes, the shattering of hearts.
It was when my midnight eyes met his stormy ones -- storm clouds drifting across the night sky, quietness in every corner, darkness spreading in the hearts of all those involved.
But that never stopped us.
