"Zander...?" I asked.

"We're done. Me and Natalia, I ended it with her when I walked away with her at lunch. I don't ever want to see your face that sad again." He said seriously.

"You didn't have to if you weren't ready." I said.

"You were ready and so was I, my love for you is more important than anything." He said kissing my forehead.

"What if she tells?" I ask pulling him closer.

"Then I'll handle it." He reassured me.

I rested my head back on his shoulder then looked back up at him.

"You do realize that we've been hugging for about 5 minutes, right?" I ask laughing.

"I don't want to let go of you." He said.

"Well you can hold me tomorrow." I said kissing his cheek and walking away.

I caught up with Meg around the corner.

"I have a boyfriend." I casually said.

"He broke up with Natalia?" She asked.

"Yep at lunch, I didn't know until he kissed me in the hallway and Natalia watched us." I tell her.

"Do you think she'll tell the police...about Zander?" Meg asked.

"I just found out...the guy who Zander supposedly 'helped' kill...is alive." I told her.

"Well that doesn't make a ton of sense." Meg said.

"I know." I sighed.

"You wanna come home with me? Meg asked.

"I'll drive to my house I haven't seen it in a while." I said.

"Ok." She answered walking in the other direction.

I drove home and pulled up to my house. I went inside to find Landon sitting on the couch watching Full House.

"How was school?" I asked.

"Great. I think I'm to sophisticated for 3rd grade." He replied.

"I think so too." I said sitting on the couch with him watching Full House.

"Look I'm going to have to go to New York for a while." I told him.

"Why? Is mom in trouble? When's she coming back?" He bombarded me with questions.

"I....I'm not sure if she's in trouble or not." I explained.

"But you know something's wrong?" He asked.

"Yes." I replied.

"Well then I'm going with you." He stated.

"No. You are going to stay with Lydia and Meg." I told him.

"No. I'm going with you Carter." He demanded.

"I am going alone." I said.

"How are you gonna get there?" Landon asked.
