AHHH I'm so happy I made it to my first two digit chapter! I'm sorry that my chappies are short and I try my best to make them long but they always come out short. Enjoy!

"This is so amazing!" I yelled.

The doors popped open and Nurse Kate and Dr.Smith walked in.

"Well this is new." Dr.Smith said.

"How is this possible? You're only a couple of weeks into medication and only a couple of days in physical therapy!" Nurse Kate said flabbergasted.

Zander stood back amazed and I was just happy I was finally leaving.

"First things first we've got to run some test." Dr.Smith proclaimed.

"Wait, but can I leave?" I asked.

"If a parent or guardian comes to check you out and schedule your follow ups, sure." He explained.

"But you know my mom's no where..." I trailed off. I looked at Kate who looked back at me knowingly. As if saying, 'Go find her.'

"Never mind. She'll be here soon." I said plastering a smile across my face.

"Alright, do you want to call her?" He asked.

"Um yeah, sure." I forced a smile.

They smiled back and walked out.

"This is amazing call your mom!" Zander exclaimed.

"She's still....out of town." I said. I didn't lie completely though.

I called Meg's mom.

"Hey Carter!", She shouted, "You feeling better?"

I loved Megs mom. She was always so happy and enthusiastic.

"Actually yeah, I can move again." I smiled.

"AAH, that's great sweetie!" She congradulated, "Meg, get in here!"

Zander must've heard because he had a perplexed look on his face.

"Thanks I know it's amazing...", I trailed off as I looked at Zander, "But...I need you to pick me up."

I wasn't sure if Meg told her about my mom or not.

"Well of course..", She pondered sounding a little confused.

Meg hadn't told her.

She didn't even ask about my father. Lydia (Meg's mom) was basically my second mom. Even though my mom was amazing, she left a lot. At this point I hadn't known if it was for business or not.

That's why I had to find out where she was, in my head she'd always been the good part in my life. She'd help me through my problems. I didn't like actually saying why I was upset but she knew and without saying it she just fixed it.

Then something occurred to me..what if she was in trouble. Or she was...

I couldn't even bring myself to make that assumption.

I started tearing up a little without realizing it and Zander really started to look worried.

"Carter?" She asked her voice lingering in my mind, repeatedly.

"Yes, um thanks, so um I'm ready now." I stammered.

"Alright, do you want to come back to our house?" She asked.

Landon! I had to get back to him.

"Lydia, have you checked on Landon?" I asked panicky.

"Oh my gosh! I'm glad you mentioned him. He'd been staying at home alone! But this morning he showed up over here!" She yelled. She was so loud I felt my eardrums slowly melting and oozing out of my ears.
