(5) The Truth?

"What do you mean she has something on you?" I demanded.

"Look we can't talk here." He whispered.

"Well where can we talk?" I whisper yelled.

"Outside." He said taking my hand.

I followed him out and felt the brush of cold and snow immediately.

"Here." He said taking his jacket and putting it over me.

"So...what's Natalia got on you?" I said.

"I..." He stammered, "You're really awesome, and I don't want you to..think of me differently." He said.

Was he going to say I love you? He wasn't very clear if we were a...couple...were we gonna be one? I sure hope so, I can't hold back any longer.

If he wasn't gonna be clear about it, I was. I mean I did resist and I think he's made it clear he is into me. I'm still going to keep my gaurd up, but I'm gonna put it all on the table to see what he really wants.

"Do you want to be with me, I really want to be with you so tell me now if you're really into me and if that kiss was really real. Or if you just want some side chick." I said.

He smirked and said, "Does this answer your question.."

He wrapped his arms low on my waist and pulled me close. Then he kissed me, passionately. This time I knew it was real.

We unlocked and I stared at him.

"Wow, that was hot." I said.

We both laughed and pulled apart.

"Will you tell me what happened now?" I asked.

Before he could answer the patio door flew open.

"Get out of our HOOOOUSE!" Someone screamed.

We turned to the left to see a middle aged woman, a tall, fat man with a handlebar mustache, and a tall muscular guy with blonde, shaggy, hair holding a gun.

"Don't shoot!" Zander said stepping in front of me.

Oh my gosh. I'm about to die.

BANG

Zander was fine and so was I.

"Run!" He whispered in my ear.

"But what about you?" I asked.

"I'll be fine just go,before you get hurt!" He whispered.

I ran as fast as I could until I reached the other side of the fence, panting and my heart beating out of my chest.

I started to climb then BANG I heard another gun shot.

"ZANDER!!" I yelled crying.

If I go to check on him I'll die, if I leave and he's dead I'll still die, from heartbreak. I couldn't leave him.

I ran to him only to see he was nowhere in sight.

BANG

I felt it in my back as I fell to the ground.

"Nooo!" I heard Meg scream.

The last thing I saw was Zander leaning over me.

"I love you." He whispered.

"I won't leave." I said taking his hand blacking out.

"Call her parents. CALL HER PARENTS!" Someone yelled.

"Huh?" I said confused. I felt around and I was on a bed...no it's moving... Where am I!?

I looked at my shoulder and it was spewing blood everywhere.

"GET ME OUT OF HERE!" I yelled.

"Get her to surgery now!" The same guy yelled.

"Wait!" A guy yelled it was a familiar voice. He looked over me it was Zander and behind him was Meg.

"In case I don't see you again, the truth is..." He started.

The doctor cut him off saying, "Sorry sir, we've got to get her to surgery."
