(3) It Meant Nothing

Sorry I haven't written in a while tbh I haven't been as good as a writer as I used to be (no I'm not talking about my other books) but I am sick of just not finishing these and I will be as great of a writer as I used to be so I am going to finish this book.

I woke up on the floor with Landon taking up all of the bed.

"Landon come on buddy get up." I grunted still waking up.

"Can you make me some pancakes?" He always eats pancakes for breakfast when he's sad or has got something on his mind.

"Alright just go get ready." I looked in our parents room still no mom and an absentee dad. Great I have to leave early to drop Landon off at school.

I started drifting towards the kitchen when I heard a loud buzz from under my pillow.

It was from Meg. It read..

We still riding our bikes today?

I typed

Nope I was abandoned.

Yes of course I was worried my dad was drunk last night and now there's no sign of him. If he wants to constantly leave us than so be it. He was nothing but a danger towards us anyways. I couldn't think about it anymore. I had to get dressed.

I looked around in my closet. I did not feel like a skirt or something girly. So I grabbed my gray shirt with purple converse to go with it and my dark blue rolled up skinny jeans with holes.

Then I stumbled back towards the kitchen and made the mix and turned the skillet on. Once it got hot I poured on the mix. I put all the pancakes on a plate and grabbed my clothes went to the bathroom and pulled them on.

"Landon come eat!!" I screamed.

He waddled to the kitchen in khaki shorts and tennis shoes and a shirt that said I mustache you a question with a big mustache on it.

"They're really good!" He said scarfing all of them down.

"Well thanks for saving me some!" I said sarcastically.

"Here." He said tossing me a slobbered on syrupy half eaten burnt pancake.

I rolled my eyes and threw it away. I went to the bathroom brushed my teeth,washed my face,put a little makeup on, and put my hair in a ponytail.

"Let's go I'm not being late." I said as I was grabbing the keys.

"OK." He said grabbing his back pack.

I picked up my water bottle as we got in the car then I drove to his school.

"Bye bud!" I shouted as he climbed out. I cranked up the radio and off to school I went.

As I walked into school I was kinda hoping I'd bump into Zander even though I knew it wouldn't happen.

"Cart come with me!" Meg screamed. I could hear worry in her voice and I could see it on her face.

"What's going on?" I said. It was the second day of school what could possibly be going on that's remotely interesting.

"Just SHHH!" She said pulling me in the restroom.

"Natalia found out." She said.

"WHAT!" I screamed. "How the heck did she find out?!!"

"OK appatantely her flock of sleezes where at Moon Bucks and took pictures of you and Zander there!" Meg breathed out.

"That makes no sense why would they take pics and watch us but not say anything!?" I squealed.

"I don't know but I'm not sure if she talked to Zander yet." She said.

"Wait,wait,wait, BUT IT WASN'T A DATE!" I yelled.

"According to the head sleazy it was."

"Oh my gosh..." I couldn't think straight.

"Let's just avoid her..come on we're gonna be late." Then she lead me down the hallway.

Why did I agree to go to Moon Bucks with him!? We are just friends in fact I don't even know if we're that! I don't want to deal with Sleazy! Gosh she better not start some crap.

BLRIIIIIINNNG!!

That was the late bell me and Meg where just getting to our lockers.

"Come on just leave your stuff." Meg said.

We quietly tiptoed in as we saw Natalia scowl at me while flipping her long brown hair. She whispered to her flock as we walked past her to get to our seats. Then she took her freshly sharpened pencil and stabbed me in the back.

"OW!!" I shouted. Crap if I didn't scream we would've gone unnoticed due to Mr.Dublin's bad eye sight.

"What was that?" He questioned.

"The two fat pigs walking into the room..LATE!" She spat.

"Girls....BLURRRP." Mr.Dublin burped. "You're late." He said as he hobbled towards us.

"You don't want to start off BLURRRRP bad with me." He burped again this time his tiny to-tight shirt slid up and he had to work hard to pull it down.

I smelled alcohol on his breath.

We sat down hesitantly. I was exchanging awkward looks with Zander. Well at least mine where awkward he was smirking. But Natalia/Sleazy would NOT stop giving me the evil eye.

Aw he's so cute with that smirk. Wait what! I didn't like him...did I? No, even if I was sure I did I wouldn't, I couldn't. Oh great now I can't stop looking at his dumb cute smirk.

What if Moon Bucks did mean something? Zander obviously is staring at me. Haha poor little Natalia she thinks she's gonna "get" me but oh,no,no. I'm gonna get Zander and she's gonna get single.

BLIIIIIIIIING

That was the last bell of the day and Natalia hadn't talked to me. Just scowls. I didn't have to worry about Sleazy anymore.

Clickity clack clack clack. Came Natalia and her flock.

Great,just when I thought I was done with her.

She slammed my locker shut and pushed me back.

"What's your deal!? You know that's my boyfriend! He doesn't like you let alone have feelings for you!" She screamed.

I was ready to explode. Zander didn't love her! I was not letting her get away with that.

"He doesn't love you! You're so lost Natalia! In your little world of high heels and lipstick! You're so rude to everyone of course he doesn't love you SLEAZY!"

"EXCUSE ME! I'm shocked you'd go there piggy! Why would he love you,have you looked in the mirror lately! Drop the cookies and get a CLUE!" She shot back.

I turned my head and saw Zander running towards us.

"Stop! Look that was really rude Natalia."

"FINALLY! Zander tell Cookies here the truth!" She demanded.

"Carter, I took you as a friends...I don't have feelings for you..at all."

I didn't know what to do. He leads me on and then just leaves me with that. I really thought he liked me. Oh my gosh why would he!? This is what I get for assuming the best.

I opened my mouth to talk but nothing came out.

I tried again.

"Umm.. Ok cause um..that..that actually works out great for me! Ya I'll just umm...bye!" I turned away and felt a tear fall down my face. I tried to control it and hold it in but it was to late for that.

"OINK OINK!!" Natalia yelled as I ran away.

I couldn't control them now they kept coming. All I could think was...

It meant nothing.
