I drop Arabella after I bought her the fairy dress and headed to work.
I haven't been to work for a long time, I don't think know what to say.
I park my car in the parking lot, getting out.
Today cars filled the front of the police station, well.
I enter to search for Jasper.
A police officer walks by, I stop him, asking " Is papa here?"
"Yes, he requested your presence once you come." He says.
"Okay, thank you." Why does he want me?
I walk over to my papa's office, feeling nervous.
A step followed by another, feeling my heartbeats in my ears.
I open the door in wary.
I see him there, sitting across his desk.
"You finally showed." He crushes his cigarette with his thumb.
"You requested my presence."
"Yes. Where were you this whole time?" He narrows his eyes.
"I had work." I shrug.
"What work?" Suspension filled his features.
"Searching for clues for my case," I exclaimed.
"You have been for two months. What did you come up with?" He is not my father at the moment he is my boss.
I search for the answer but I can't find any because he is right, I hadn't found anything.
"You didn't." He scoffs, crossing his arms.
"But I will." I don't know if I am promising him or myself.
"You still have one week to find out or I will be forced to take the case from you and give it to someone else." His phone rings. He picks it up with a grumble.
"I will be there in a moment hold on." He stands up to leave and says " You can leave but it is not appropriate for you to take sudden breaks without permission." He shuts the door after him, leaving me alone in the room.
A paper falls from its place on the edge of the drawer, I go to put it back in its place.
It says "Julianne Ramirez"
It catches my interest so I open it.
And I wish I didn't.
