A few weeks ago, she had joined the university, and everything was going smoothly. However, there was one person who made her restless—Jahan. Since the day he had disappeared on a mission, she hadn't seen him. She learned that he was in the army, but it was uncertain when he would return. Every day, she prayed for his well-being, unaware of the growing attraction she felt towards him. His caring nature and the way he looked at her occupied her thoughts constantly.

One sunny Sunday morning, she decided to make breakfast. Upon entering the kitchen, she was greeted by the busy servants who were preparing the meal.

"Do you need anything, ma'am?" one of the servants asked.

"I want to make pancakes," she replied.

"I can make them for you, ma'am," the servant offered.

"No, it's fine. Just give me the ingredients," she insisted, opening the refrigerator.

She felt slightly uncomfortable under the gaze of the servants, who momentarily stopped working to watch her. Gathering all the necessary ingredients, she skillfully mixed them together. Once the pancakes were cooked, she poured chocolate syrup over them.

Meanwhile, the servants had arranged the table for breakfast. As her grandfather, Jamal Shah, entered the dining area, she greeted him warmly.

"Good morning, Dada Jan," Alizey said, and her grandfather reciprocated with a loving smile, kissing her on the head—the cherished symbol of his younger son.

As everyone gathered around, breakfast commenced along with the usual random conversations.

"Arham bhai, have some. I made them," Alizey passed the plate of pancakes to Arham, who took it with a smile.

"Wow, these are delicious!" Arham exclaimed after taking a bite.

Once breakfast was over, Alizey returned to her assignments when her friends, Faika and Hooriya, barged into her room.

"Hi, CutiePie!" They both hugged her tightly.

"Why are you so pretty?" Hooriya asked, playfully pinching her cheeks. Alizey giggled in response.

"Why did you pull her cheeks? Look, they've turned red," Faika scolded Hooriya.

"It's okay," Alizey smiled at the two girls who were like sisters to her. The bond they shared filled the void of having biological sisters.

"Lizey, hurry up and get ready. We're going shopping," Hooriya exclaimed, setting her books aside.

"But we just went last week," Alizey replied. She knew how much both of her friends loved shopping.

"I know, but my friend's birthday is coming up, so I need to buy a gift. Come on!" Hooriya insisted, giving her the puppy-dog eyes.

Alizey adorned a white linen shirt with delicate blue embroidery, paired with white trousers. She tied her hair in a high ponytail, applied a nude lip gloss, and wore her wristwatch, achieving a simple yet elegant look.

"Take care of the girls, both of you," Hameeda Begum ordered Zain and Arham, her brothers.

"Okay, boss!" they both playfully bowed down.

At the mall, the girls entered a gift shop while the boys followed behind. After an hour of browsing, the girls still hadn't found the perfect gift. Alizey grew tired from walking from one shop to another and finally sat down on a bench in the store.

"Feeling tired?" Arham asked, handing her a water bottle. She nodded and took a few sips.

A shiny box caught Hooriya's attention as she exclaimed, "See, Lizey, I think this is the best!"

Alizey replied, "It's nice," as she opened the box.
Arham, noticing Alizey's tiredness, urged them to hurry. Hooriya glared at him and retorted, "You keep quiet!"

After purchasing the gift, they headed to the food court for lunch. Upon reaching the parking area, they sensed a group of boys following them.

"Don't look at them. Let's go," Zain advised, and they all quickly made their way to the car. Suddenly, a boy approached from behind and forcibly pushed Alizey towards him, brandishing a knife at her neck. The others shouted in alarm. Zain and Arham swiftly pushed Faika and Hooriya behind them.

"Leave her!" Arham roared at the assailant.

"You let her go and give us these two as well," demanded the boy holding Alizey captive. The three boys, all in their mid-twenties, revealed their sinister intentions. Sensing that someone was tailing them, Arham discreetly messaged the guards, who swiftly arrived from behind. As they freed Alizey, she sustained a minor injury from the knife.

"Ouch..." she winced as blood began to trickle, causing panic among her friends. They hastily rushed her to the hospital while the guards dealt with the attackers.

"Where the hell was your security!" Jahan roared at his man when he got to know about the incident and especially about Alizey.

"Bo..boss" He tried to say something but the look on Jahan's face make everyone fear.

"What boss! I don't pay for this" He again roared breaking the glass to which everyone flinched, present in the room. He sat on the chair and asked lightning up the cigarette. "How's Alizey!"

"Don't worry boss she is fine. They reach the mansion after check-up" One of his trusted men replies. He nodded in response.
"Take extra care of her security" Jahan ordered and dismissed everyone.

He leaned back on the chair closing his eyes, the face of his angel appears who is always on his mind. Now it seems difficult for him to resist without her. Before taking any decision he has to complete this mission, God knows he will be alive after this or not.

Reaching the mansion, elders got worried seeing the bandage on the side of her neck. They all prayed that they returned safely and not have any big loss listening to the incident.

"Thank God you all are safe"  Hameeda begum said.

"Give some money to the poor and needy" Jamal Shah said to Arham who nodded.

"Everything is fine beta don't cry" Jahan's mother said creasing Alizey's hair who is sobbing in her grandmother's arms.
