NIKKAH....Union of two souls
The walls of Shah Mansion radiated with a vibrant display of lights, signifying that preparations were nearing completion. Close relatives had arrived earlier and were now seated with Hameeda Begum, engaging in pleasant conversation. Servants bustled about, tending to the guests and meticulously attending to the final arrangements for the Nikkah Ceremony on the sprawling lawn.
The grand lawn, adorned with enchanting decorations, had been transformed into a celestial setting. Peachy drapes cascaded gracefully, accentuated by the soft glow of fairy lights. Floral blooms and foliage added a touch of elegance, while ornate candle holders and a vintage brass white sofa exuded a regal charm, forming an exquisite backdrop for the stage.
The reception tent, where guests and family would gather, exuded an inviting ambiance with string lights illuminating the surroundings. Round banquet tables and metal chairs were thoughtfully placed throughout the lawn, accommodating the numerous attendees.
Completing her makeup, the artist put the finishing touches on Alizey's lips. "All done, beautiful," she declared with a smile.
"Mashallah, Jahan Bhai going to get a shock today," Hooriya playfully teased, causing Alizey's cheeks to flush with a rosy hue.
Alizey was adorned in her mother's wedding dress, a resplendent red gharara paired with a short shirt. Elaborate gold lace adorned the hem, while heavy tilla work adorned the sleeves and shirt. She wore a stunning gold set, along with gold bangles, a maang tikka, and a jhummar. Her hands were adorned with intricate henna patterns. The makeup artist had skillfully enhanced her natural beauty, giving her a simple yet elegant look that resembled a fairy.
Hooriya and Faiqa had chosen matching outfits, which accentuated their beauty. They looked resplendent in light green floor-length shirts, adorned with resham and zardosi embroidery. The shirts were designed in a front open style, while the hems were delicately decorated with vibrant accents. They completed their attire with matching chunri dupattas.
Entering Alizey's room, Aleena Shah and Amna Shah couldn't help but mumble "mashallah" as they admired her beauty. Both women looked stunning themselves, dressed in mint green outfits. Their attire featured raw silk trousers with embroidered hems, paired with hand-painted dupattas.
Expressing their love and affection, Amna Shah addressed Alizey as her future daughter-in-law, saying, "May Allah protect you from evil eyes."
Aleena Shah kissed Alizey's head and remarked, "You look just like your mother." In that heartfelt moment, tears welled up in their eyes.
"Qazi Sahab will be here shortly for the Nikkah," Amna Shah informed, a reminder of the imminent ceremony.
As the makeup artist and other girls left the room, Hameeda Begum took a seat beside Alizey on the sofa, offering comfort with a gentle touch. "Don't worry, dear. Everyone is here," she reassured Alizey, enveloping her with a sense of support and assurance.
