Part 5: Puppeteer

Nathan:

"Okay, we have to find where Kieden is right now." I said as I took out my phone, I always had Kieden's GSP as he tends to get lost whenever we meet in a place he doesn't know. I opened the maps and started searching for his location. "I found something." I said and showed them. "The Chinese restaurant?" Kira asked, "What is he doing there?" Maggie flipped through the book and started reading the first page, "It says here that Nogitsune eats lamp oil. Maybe he went looking for that?" Maggie said, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go." I said. We ran down, Kira took her car keys, "I'll take my bike, you two follow me." I said and took off. We made it to the restaurant in 10 minutes, it seemed open but there was no one there. No customers, no waiters, not even a chef. This restaurant is always jam-packed, "Hello? Is anyone here?" Maggie shouts out, we walked in further, as we walked towards the kitchen, we heard growling. I stooped the girls, "Wait here." I said and walked forward, I looked into the kitchen, I saw 3 chefs on the floor covered in their own blood and lamp oil. In the corner of the kitchen, Kieden was sitting there with his legs up to his chest, holding his legs together and his face buried into this knees. I walked in, "Kieden? Did you do this?" I asked, slowly walking towards him. "I don't know what's wrong with me. I don't know how I got here or what happened." Kieden said, "Okay, it's fine. You're going to be okay, just come with me and we can figure this out." I said, "I can't go with you." He said as he stood up, "Why?" I asked, "Because... you have work to do." He said, he lifted his head revealing his eyes. I kept staring at it, "MAGGIE! KIRA! RUN!" I shouted to them, "Shout all you want, they can't hear you." He said. 

Maggie: 

Nathan has been there for too long,  "Nate, is he there?" I shouted to him. Kieden walked out alone, "I know what you are thinking, but it's me. I swear to god it's me." He said. I pushed Kira behind me, "Where is Nate?" I asked, "He took off, but I have an idea where he might be." He replied. "Where?" Kira asked, "School." He said. One side of me didn't want to believe him but the other side told me to go for it, "Come." I said. We got into Kira's car and drove to school. I tried calling Derick a couple of times but he didn't pick up, "Kira, tell me what happened between you and Derick?" I asked, "Now is not the time, we have to get Nathan." She replied. We reached school, they were just starting the Memorial for Mr. David, we got into the school and started looking for Nathan. We were walking around when I spotted Derick sitting with our class, we went towards him, "Derick!" I called out, "Guys, where have you been?" Derick asked, "Not now, take care of him."  I said and left Kieden with him. Kira and I continued searching for Nathan. After 15 minutes of looking for him, we couldn't find him, "Where is he?" Kira asked, I suddenly got a call, from Nathan. 

Kieden: 

Maggie and Kira left me with Derick, I don't remember what happened after I left Derick's Guesthouse. "So, Kieden, how are you?" Derick asked, I just looked at him, I wasn't able to answer him, "Your friends must be looking for, Nathan, right?" He said, "What?" I asked, He turned to me and stared into my eyes. I saw his eyes changing, his iris changed from brown to Red, his Sclera changed from white to black. I was stunned looking at him, "You know Kieden, you are very smart, you caught on quite fast but, I am faster. I can get into their minds easily." He laughed, "They should learn to never trust a fox. Wonder what they are doing right now." He said. I got up and starting running, looking for them. 

Kira: 

Maggie picks up the call from Nathan, "Nate, where are you?" She asked, "Guys, I think I am in the basement at the school." He replied in a terrified voice, "Don't worry, we will be there." I said, "Please, hurry up." He replied. We run to the basement, when we got to the basement, Maggie turned on her phone's flashlight, "Nate!" Maggie shouted. She was flinging her phone around until she stopped, Nathan was standing holding a blowtorch and a man, holding him by the clover of his shirt. The man was covered in Gasoline, his mouth and hands were tied with a piece of cloth and was out cold, he had this grin on his face as he turned on the blowtorch, "Nathan, don't do this." I said, "But, I just want a bit of chaos in our life," He said, "No. Don't!" I said, "Hmm, well, then, I won't do it." He said as he let go of the man. He walked towards us and Maggie walked towards the man. "Mags, what are you doing?" I asked, "I said, he won't do it, but I never said that she won't do it."  She replied. She snatched the blowtorch out of Nathan's hand, "NO! DON'T DO IT!" I shouted, Nathan, looked around confused, "Where am I?" He asked. "Nathan looked there!" I shouted, he turned and saw what was going on. "Maggie, don't. You're not like this!" He shouted. She didn't listen, she turned on the blowtorch, the guy slowly woke up, he looked up and saw Maggie stand over him. He started freaking out and started sliding back. The more he goes back, the more she walked in front, she kneels in front of him, he is crying shaking his head, "I'm so sorry." She said, sarcastically and she lit his foot. The fire grew from his foot to the top of his head, the guy started screaming at the top of his lungs, I started screaming out of fear and covered my ears to block his screaming. I could hear Maggie laughing, echoing around me, I screamed even louder to block out her laughter. I heard Mr. Streans saying, "Hand up!" I opened my eyes and Maggie and Nathan were gone, I turned to Mr. Streans holding a gun to me, another police officer handcuffed my hands and brought me up. "Mr. Streans, I didn't do anything ." I cried out, "I know, We are doing this because you are a witness, this will be over." He said and brought me up. We got to the hallway, the whole school was watching me walking out like a criminal, in midst of the group, I saw Maggie smirking at me.
