In Love With Her Soul....

chapter 2

Previously - i opened the door and got the biggest shock of my life 

Kiara's POV

My dad…Mr. Khanna stood there with a card and a bouquet of pink roses 

Then it clicked to me tomorrow is the birthday of my deceased mother's birthday,

It is the ritual of the khanna family that every year on this day they hold a small party with only friends .

I was busy thinking all this that I forgot that my biological father is still standing at the door looking at me in ….regret?  "Please come in sir " "no it's ok ...kiara i have come here to invite you ….here" he said while giving me the roses and the card " please come home tomorrow at 10 am " he said and left .

I was in shock that he never came to my apartment. I do have many important meetings tomorrow with the founders ,about the fresh entrepreneurs contest which i hold every year to promote new ideas. Speaking of which, I immediately called meera aunty my secretary and told her to cancel all my meetings for tomorrow.

I know Mr Khanna said to come at 10 and I could be free by the afternoon but I want to take a leave and celebrate my mothers birthday alone. I was busy in my thoughts when the bell rang again .  I opened the door to find my brother grinning widely and holding a chocolate waffle ..that's my favorite .

"Yes?" I said on purpose just to irritate him, but this stubborn man welcomed himself inside like a king murmuring about me having hit my head somewhere to forget him .

Talking while taking a walk in my small garden balcony i noticed him getting  uncomfortable whenever i asked him about didi and dad he said " why don't you come home and see for yourself " " that place is not my home but still being born by mrs.khanna's womb i am bound to take some care of mr.khanna " i said .He silently bid me goodbye and left .

{ time skip to next morning }

 I woke up around 7:30 i took a shower and changed into my salwar kameez , i really like them , the maids of the khanna house say that i have taken after my mother in choice of the clothes

 

I took my white Mercedes which my brother gifted as a gift to compensate when he glared at me the day i got graduated , i drove off and went to the flower shop to purchase some white flowers 

I reached the khanna residence and  entered the wast estate as soon as i entered i was tackled into a hug by my sister lavanya she shouted to grab everyone's attention " MY SISTER IS HERE "  everybody gave her a weird look to her i came over my shock and whispered in her ear " according to everyone present here mr.khanna has only 2 kids " 

She left me and ignoring everyone's gaze she pulled me towards a corner in front of a huge portrait of my mother. I looked down and found flowers kept there. I kept my own bouquet there .

Later that day my soon to be bhabhi came and met me . kyra di karan bhai's gf , the speciality of this day is that everyone gathers and talks about the memories of my mother .

I actually smiled today knowing more about my mother ….

Everything was ok until my dad started speaking and what he spoke left me in tears
