i know i will find you amongst
the ending of planets and
the crashing of stars,
because just like me
you carry a penchant for
the beauty of tragedy

they say that love makes your heart flutter with molten gold warmth, and floods your veins with carmine nectar that makes your skin glow with amaryllis fluorescence.
but with you, i was ablaze. you set me on fire, and watched as scorching flames danced on my skin with undiluted fervour and burning sun fire passion. you watched as your corrosive fires torched and charred my bronze skin, the roaring ocean in your eyes ruffling and churning with the frigid wind.
and then you smiled, and i thought i saw the whole universe collapse and rebuild itself in your flickering smile. you could hold a knife to my heart with that smile and i would let you pierce my fermenting flesh and bones because at least i would die being surrounded by the planets and stars that danced in your celestial beauty.
people always thought you were cruel, but to me you were always the one who carried the universe in your palms, the one who held up the stars. with you, i felt like a golden god with synodic clusters of galaxies clinging to my ribs; you could make anyone feel like divinity. your hand in mine, and your rose petal lips against mine, how could i not feel like a god?
you tainted my skin with violet belladonna and told me i glistened like the sun, but the truth was that it was you who shone with scintillating splendour. you could touch me and i would burn luminously because of your fiery touch that had the power to defy gravity and set off nebulous catastrophes of flaring stars. i was just an accretion disc compared to the luminous galactic nulcei in your eyes that shone so bright that even the sun got blinded when it saw your dazzling beauty.
you asked me if i thought you were the monarch of the intumescing universe. the ones with mortal power always crash and burn and fall; but nothing on earth could ever topple you over. you were someone who could never fall, after all you stood on the ruins of the fallen ones. you knew what is was to fall into an infinite chasm of darkness and never come back again. i told you, you were something that blasphemous mortality could never be-you were a god. and then you finally, finally said that i was yours.
[after all the only way to your glacial heart was to use the shards of my broken heart as a knife to pierce into it and darling, no one in the universe had ever broken me like you did.]
