"I've got her!" Jared's voice was enough to get Sammy on his feet. He ran towards his voice until he was able to see Jared pulling Daisy out of a pile of rubble. Sammy kneeled at Daisy's side, her face was pale and her covered in blood. Sammy couldn't tell where the blood was coming from but he took the time to wipe the red away from her closed eyes. Her face looked so relaxed, that's how he knew that she was dead. He felt for her pulse just in case but there wasn't one.

"Do you want me to save her? Just say the word, Sam." Jared was kneeling at the opposite side of Sammy, staring at the blond and waiting for the approval.

"What'll happen to her?" Sammy whispered, continuing to wipe away the blood from her face. He didn't even care about the smell, it didn't effect him then.

"That's up to you. If you want me to keep her a normal human girl, I will. Or I can make her one of us so you'll never have to watch her grow old without you." Jared took Daisy's hand in his own. "Please, Sam, I want to save her just as much as you do but I need your word."

"Why? I don't understand why you want to save her. I don't understand why you're being a normal guy and not a bloody cannibalistic psychopath. It's your fault she's like this in the first place." Sammy finally met Jared's gaze with tears streaming down his face and leaving streaks in the dirt on his cheeks.

"She was my friend. I put my trust in her and she did the same to me. She wasn't even supposed to be in the drama room, you brought her there." Jared said, just above a whisper.

"And I hurt her. I know, that's why I need her back because I'll never forgive myself if her last memory of me is a bad one." Sammy wiped his eyes, smearing mud across his face. "Make her normal again, please."

"You got it, boss." Jared pushed Sammy back and straddled Daisy's abdomen so he could be face to face with her. Sammy watched his eyes shimmer and turn a deep red. Jared cupped Daisy's face, holding her so close that his forehead was touching hers, and whispered something Sammy couldn't catch. He froze for a few seconds as if he was waiting, before Daisy gasped and sat up so fast she slammed her head against Jared's. Jared groaned and rolled off of her. Daisy was hyperventilating but all Sammy could notice were her eyes, they were white — pure white. She caught him staring and in an instant her arms were around his neck and she was crying. He hated to see her cry but he was crying too, so there wasn't much he could do about it.

"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry." Those were the only words he could get out through his shaky breaths and held back sobs.

"It's okay, god, it's so okay." She whispered, digging her face into Sammy's neck.

"I'll never hurt you again." He wasn't sure if Daisy heard that part but she did. She pulled away, cupped his face, and kissed the boy deeply. She didn't care that he was a monster, he was her monster and that's the only thing she could really bring herself to care about right then.

They searched for Rudy and Wren next, but they only found Rudy. They should've been close to each other since they couldn't have run anywhere else but Wren was nowhere near where Rudy lay. Jared revived Rudy the same way he revived Daisy. When Rudy opened his eyes, his now white eyes, he didn't jump up or scream or even cry, he just stared at Jared who was still sitting on top of him as if he was processing whatever had just happened to him.

"Hey." Jared whispered to the ginger. Rudy didn't hesitate to swing and collide his fist with Jared's jaw, scrambling to stand up as soon as Jared was off of him. He was starting to panic as he looked at Sammy and Daisy who stood in front of him, hand in hand. He glanced down at Jared who was rubbing his jaw on the floor and groaning.

"Where's Duncan?" He asked, looking around him and finally noticing the scene. His mind immediately went to the worst possible situation. His eyes filled with tears. He turned to Jared again, ignoring the boy's pain. "Did he make it out?"

Jared looked up, stretching his jaw once before responding. "Yeah, I think so."

"Do you know where they took him?"

"I don't bloody know I only woke up two hours before you did, asshole!" Jared yelled, obviously still upset about being clocked in the jaw.

"We'll find him, but we need to lay low for a while until the whole Beechwood Academy disaster dies down. Let's look for Wren, before cops show up." Sammy said, but in that moment Rudy and Daisy seemed to make eye contact for the first time.

"Your eyes," they both spoke in unison. As soon as the words left their mouths they both turned to Sammy for an explanation. Sammy looked at Jared.

"I brought you two back from the dead, save your praise and thanks for later. I'll accept payments after we're out of this rubbish, alright?" Jared raised his hands in the defense and started to move deeper into the debris but nobody else moved.

"We were dead?" Rudy asked. "Does Duncan think we're dead?"

Sammy nodded. "I'm sure."

"No, no, Sammy, he'll go insane." Despite not having a pupil, Rudy's eyes radiated nothing but concern and panic started to build in his chest yet again. "We have to find him."

"We will, just not right now." Sammy walked away from the ginger before he could say anything else and Daisy followed.

They searched for Wren for hours after that, but never found her. The girl had vanished in thin air as if she was never there in the first place. None of them knew much about her abilities, or if they were enough to protect her in the collapse. She could be alive, it was a possibility but they couldn't know for sure. Out of the four of them, they each had their own theories but none of them would even begin to be correct.
