"Lilly, don't say that! If he takes one look at you the wrong way, I will kill him! You don't deserve this! I'm calling Jacklin!" I huff in response. Sometimes, I seriously think I should get some papers for Kat to sign at my 3ed legal guardian, although I love her to death.
"Alright. I'll go to school." I mumble, and Kat, with her super hearing, turned around and smiled before going back to talking to Jacklin. I start to listen about what their talking about.
"Jacklin! No! I'm not going to ask her!"
Me?
"Jacklin! Stop, she would never allow this. Yes, I know you want to date him, but you can't. Not until poor Lilly gets over him. Seriously, you can't do this."
She huffs a breath, and the blood drains from my face. Are you kidding me? Ugh! Jacklin needs to go get a life! I freaking told her everything! I barge into the room."Kat! I want to talk to Jacklin!"
"Ugh..I- I don't think that's a good idea..."
"Darnet Kat! Give me the freaking phone!" Her face pales, and she slowly hands me the phone. I raise it to my ear and speak like the devil.
"Jacklin Rose Wilson! Shut up! If you speak to him I again I swear I will-"
"Lilly!" Kat's voice makes me stop. But the jealousy keeps stabbing me in the face.
"Lillian Sarre," she mocks, "Garett has never contacted you. No matter how many times you try, he will never want you back. I honestly wonder what you did to get him around you." my anger stops. My jealousy stops. My heart stops.
She's right.
"Lilly, she doesn't mean that..." Kat tries. I forgot she was here. My eyes never meet hers, and I pull my attention back to the phone.
"Jacklin, now that we are being honest, I honestly hate you." I snap. Two seconds after, I hang up.
"That little bitc-"
"Kat stop. Thank you for trying, but I'm not feeling good. I can't go to school." I start to walk away, but then she says,
"Lilly, I know someone who wants to meet you. He knows where Garett is."
Kat blurts out. I quickly turn around, and I smile, but it feels wired on my lips. She gasps."Did you- you- smile?" She squeals, and hugs me.
"But you have to go to school," she says, "no exceptions." I give her a look, but then give in.
"Ok." I mumble. She squeals for the 100th time.
"Let's go!"
