PROLOGUE

"Ugh, fuck yeah grind that soft ass baby!"

The scent of mixed cigarettes, expensive liquor, and the cologne of every drunk people dancing without inhibitions lingered my nostrils after I stepped inside the club. I stopped and looked around as I keep my hardest to keep my cool. I put my hands inside my trousers' pockets as I clench my jaw and grits my teeth when my eyes landed on the woman who was the reason why I came rushing from my office to this fucking club.

Mabibigat ang mga hakbang na naglakad ako patungo kay Kim. Kim has been my girlfriend for two months and just like my other exes Kim is cheating on me too.

Her contacted lenses eyes widened for a couple of seconds as she spotted me, but only for a while until her face went dark, she is mad. I laughed bitterly knowing what card she is about to pull out.

She will blame it on me; the reason why she cheated on me. She didn't move not even minding that me, her boyfriend is standing in front of her while she is sitting on a random man's lap with her arms snaked on the man's neck.

"What, Ridge?" She introes with her sketched eyebrows furrowed.

I frowned at her. Honestly? I don't love her, I don't even like her, I just picked her up from a bunch of women begging me to let them be my next girlfriend. I tsked and shook my head. I waved my hand at her, dismissing whatever her next words could be.

"It's my fault. I never made time for you, and just sent you gifts to make you stop bothering me, call you if I only want sex. And take you out for dinner but leave before it even starts because I'm busy person, what else could be the reason why you cheated on me, Kim?"

Kim's face turns red like she's about to snap in anger that made me roll my green eyes.

"Your gifts aren't even that expensive what did you think of me that cheap!? You're so busy that you don't have time—"

"Let's cut it off. We're over Kim. I told you not to brag around with men while you are my rumored girlfriend. You're staining my name with your nasty doings and itchy cunt," I cut her off and walked out of the club.

Napabuga ako nang marahas na hininga nang makasakay ako ng Cobra Mustang ko. I may not be in-love with her but her cheating on me is enough to wake up the doubt within me, doubt that I will be ever enough for someone to stay.

I blows out a deep harsh breath and scratch the bridge of my proud pointy nose as I starts the engine of my car with my other hand. I drove it but instead of driving towards where my condo is, I drove towards my favorite club.

My break up with Kim is nothing, honestly, but this day is already draining for it to end that way. I should enjoy my night at-least before getting busy again at work tomorrow.

I just inherited my adopted dad's company 2 years ago but before that I also have my 3-year-old own company, handling and building my own company is already eating much of my time and it doubled when I inherited Dad's.

I parked my car and entered the club with my hands inside my trousers' pockets. I went straight to the bar stool and ordered a bottle of Macallan Sir Peter Blake and The Dalmore.

Ah, drinking cognac after a tiring day is just the best.

I opened the Macallan and disregarded the shot glass the bartender handed me and drunk straight to the bottle's mouth. Masyado na akong tinatamad para magsalin ng magsalin sa baso. I drunk it like a water that made me shut my eyes when I felt my head spun.

Marahil sa pagod at stress ay nakaramdam ako kaagad ng pagkahilo. Despite feeling my head spinning I continued drinking, I drink it all even the last drop of my The Dalmore.
