A Pokemon Journey

Episode 4: Fertillion City and The Grass Type Gym.

Narrator: In our last episode, Riolu opens up to Isaiah to reveal the origin of his serious nature. After a heart-to-heart talk, Isaiah and his Pokemon make it through the vast caves of Route 3, catching a Trafik as they go along. Isaiah and his team have made it into the beautiful Fertillion City. Now, Isaiah will face his first gym. The Journey continues now!

I looked around at the beautiful city. Exiting the cave, me and Riolu were greeted by a street with lines of beautiful houses on both sides. All of them were covered in vines bearing berries and sprouting beautiful flowers. People walked up and down the sidewalks with their Pokemon, mainly grass types. On our way to the Pokecenter, Riolu noticed a particular house with vines that produced Pecha berries. He looked at them like a child in front of a candy store. 

"Go ahead, take a few. I don't mind." Said an old lady. I looked and saw an old lady knitting on her porch. 

"Are you sure?" I asked.

 "Go ahead, dear; I have plenty." She said. Riolu and I picked up to 15 ripe and juicy Pechas.

 "Thanks, ma'am!" I said. 

"Of course, darling." The lady said kindly. After Riolu gave her a goodbye wave, we headed to the center.

After a bit, we found the tiny bright red building of the Pokemon Center. Riolu and I walked inside, smelling a charming strawberry scent. On the right side of the building was a section where a man would have his Hypno have his Pokemon forget and remember certain moves. On the left was a woman who sold you potions, revives, Pokeballs, etc. And, of course, in the middle of the back of the building was the lovely Nurse Joy and her assistant Wigglytuff. They stood behind a counter and in front of a Pokemon Healing Station. I walked up to her.

 "Hello, how may we help you?" Nurse Joy asked.

 "I'd like to heal my Pokemon," I said, handing her my Pokeballs after returning Riolu.

 She put them into the machine, and after five good seconds, they were all healed. 

"Thanks, ma'am," I said. 

"Come back whenever you need more healing." Nurse Joy said, bowing along with her Wigglytuff. I then walked outside and headed downtown towards the Grass Type Gym.

My Pokemon and I were awed at the giant Bud-Shaped dome, which towered at least six stories. I walked up to the Signup counter, where a man in black and white striped clothing waited. He seemed to be in his mid-20s. 

"I'm Referee Johnson. You doing the gym challenge?" he asked.

"Yes, sir. I'm gonna give it all I got!" I said.

"Very well. Show me your trainer card." He said. I brought it out of my bag and showed him it with pride. 

"Good. Right this way young man." the ref said, opening the doors for me. Tipping my invisible hat, I walked inside the gym.
