Sitting alone in a room is Phoenix, kneeling on the floor without a word as outside her room, her bodyguard is guarding the room. Though the commotion outside goes deaf to her as she sits there motionless.

Her mind elsewhere.

"Look, please just let me inside, [Y/n] needs me." Kazuha says as he tries to get passed the guard who blocks his path to go see [Y/n].

"What business do you have with the hime (princess)?"

Kazuha sighs and brings out a familiar ring, "This is proof that I'm her fiancee, since we were children to be exact so please....let me see her."

The guard eyes the ring, seeing a familiar symbol on it. He steps aside and just as Kazuha placing a hand on the door, he's stopped by a hand on his shoulder.

He looks up to see it was the guard, "if you're planning to see her, you cannot return to your beloved princess with your complexion and not make her worried."

Kazuha looks down at this, his shoulder drop as the guard takes a closer look at him. His hair was no longer in it's low pony tail, there were bags under his eyes, a sign that he was probably suffering in silence.

"You didn't sleep last night, did you?"

Kazuha looks away at this, guilty.

"Only a couple hours had passed since the princess had learned of her family's death, so you much be suffering as well."

It's only been a couple hours since he witness [Y/n] on the ground in front of multiple tombstones and he could still hear her anguish cries as he rushed over to her.

"If you don't mourn right now when you should, then you will break sooner or later. Crying when you should, is important, isn't it?"

Kazuha brushes away his hand, a forced smile on his lips as he looks up at the guard who stays quiet

"[Y/n] hasn't shred a tear since I took her back to her room last night, I can't cry yet. I need to be there for her."

He opens the door and closes it behind him without another word, leaving the guard outside.

Kazuha carefully makes his way through the room and to [Y/n] who remains still on her knees.

He sees that her eyes are shut tight and her breathing is calm, he realizes that she might have finally fallen asleep in that position.

Kneeling down, he stares at her face and his lip begins to tremble. He wraps his arms around her sleeping form, he grits his teeth as he shuts his eyes tight.

"...I need to be strong for you."

"[Y/n] is going to be awake soon, we need the place to be spotless!" The other members say as they run around the estate.
"Make sure to prepare breakfast for her as well!"

"..." A young man with ruby eyes walks by, he hears the whispers as he goes into the kitchen.

"Is it true that the princess's fiancee is here as well?" One whispers.

"Wasn't he wanted? Why would he come back, especially with [Y/n]?"

The young man clears his throat, making the two woman whispering, flinch in their spots.

They look up to see him, "o-oh, Haru. What brings you here?"

"I can came to fetch some water for the princess and her fiancee." He says.

"Oh! Right away!"

One of the woman turns to him after seeing the other in off, "shouldn't you be with the princess right now?"

He sighs, "her fiancee is keeping her company."

Kazuha opens his eyes and sit up, he looks down and seeing that [Y/n] is still asleep. Bringing his hand up to his hair, he messes it before hearing a knock at the door.

It opens and walks in the guard from outside, in his hand a jug of water. He places it on the table and looks straight at him. "I haven't introduced myself yet, my name is Haru and I was the bodyguard for the late [M/n]. My orders were to be by Miss [Y/n]'s side when she would return, so if there is anything you two need, you can tell me."

Kazuha nods his head and Haru leaves the room, "I never knew my mother had a bodyguard...."

He's startled by the sudden voice and watches as [Y/n] sits up, not caring if her sleeping attire is slipping down her shoulder.

He averts his eyes, and she notices this. "You already seen me naked, there's no need to be embarrassed." She sighs as she rests her head on top of her arms. "That woman knew."

"Now I really don't want to join the resistance, I need to be here with the clan." She mutters.

Kazuha places a hand on her back, comforting her as she sighs. "You look terrible, did you not get any sleep yesterday?" She looks at him, the bags under his eyes worried her to the core. Not once has she saw him like this.

He doesn't say anything as he leans in and rest his head on her chest, closing his eyes as he feels her hand in his hair. "Get some sleep and we'll talk when you wake up."

He lets out a hum and falls asleep, listening to the quiet hums of his lover.
