I had arrived back at the dorm. I looked in the mirror my hair was a frizzy mess. Mascara dripping down below my eyes.

I really had let this girl hurt me again. I hated it, I felt weak. I decided to work on some music to help get some of my emotions out. Kelsey was a drummer in a band. Her band was looking for someone to sing and play electric guitar. They had another electric guitar player, but the singer who also played guitar quit. I'm actually good at electric guitar. Not many people would have thought that about me. I asked her if they still needed someone for the band and she told me I could try out. I figured being in a band would get my mind off things. I had to cut out every part of that nerdy girl I was. I didn't wanna be her anymore I knew I had to commit fully to this change. I could be the cool girl in a band. The next day I texted Kelsey and I went to her house where the band practiced in the garage. It was small but was the perfect fit for the drum set, and for everyone to stand in. Nerves filled my whole body. Was I really ready for this. I took a deep breath and a sigh of relief I knew I had to do this. I had performed one of the songs I wrote and had been working on how to play it on the guitar. Alex the other guitar player and Kelsey both faces lit up. They looked at each other and shook there head. "Your in" Kelsey said. I couldn't help but release a huge smile I can't believe this yes. I showed them the song I had performed we all practiced it together. It was a great break from thinking about Sage. "My cousin is coming for a bit to watch"said Alex. The next thing I knew a car pulled up and out walked Sage. No it can't be her I thought. Just when I thought I could get a break from her, I knew I'd be seeing her alot more. Of course she had to be my new band mates cousin. Only these type of things happened to me.
