I woke up with Sage running with me In her arms. I looked into her eyes and knew in that moment that everything was worth it. The feeling of looking in her eyes made me feel safe. We made it to her car and she told me we have to leave town that it's not safe here anymore. I nodded and and kissed her. It was there was sparks in the air. Before she started driving she put a bandage on my wound. She started speeding away. I started to love the danger. It was intoxicating. Especially with her by my side. I felt like I could do anything. That was far from true. Sage told me it was gonna be a long drive so I should try getting some sleep so I did. I woke up and we had arrived to a hotel. Sage looked exhausted. I looked at her and told her "I'm here for you everything is gonna be ok." Her face filled with a smile and she thanked me. We headed into the hotel. We both had dirt and blood on us. Sage had a bag of stuff in her trunk. I grabbed a clean pair of clothes and went to shower. The hot water burnt my wounds. But I sucked it up cause I didn't wanna seem weak to Sage. As the water floated down my skin the reality of everything happening settled in. I was terrified but felt safe with Sage. Soon she came up behind me and her kisses trickled down my neck to my shoulders. My mind turned off from all the bad things I was thinking about. I turned around and kissed her. I told her I needed to get outta the shower. I dried off and got dressed. I needed a minute to myself. I layed down on the bed and turned on the TV. I decided to set up something nice for Sage. I went to the store near by and got candles, roses and candy. I hurried back. Luckily Sage was still in the shower so I could set it all up. To my surprise the next thing I knew Sage came out in lingerie. I knew this moment was gonna be perfect. Everything finally felt normal at least for now it was...
