I woke up and Kelsey was standing there. "Sage called me and told me what happened. I'm so sorry, but you said yes to a marriage proposal" Kelsey said.
"Well um you see". I couldn't explain it I just loved this girl.
"Normally I would have been mad at you but I it" Kelsey said
"Thank you for understanding". I said reaching out to grab her hand. Sortly after Sage came walking in the room.
"I'm gonna leave you guys alone". Kelsey said awkwardly walking outta the room.
Sage had a worried look on her face. "I never imagined this would happen to you. But as my fiance there's probably some things I should tell you. I met my ex boyfriend when I was on drugs. I'm clean now but that's not the point. I'm a drug dealer". I couldn't believe it. This girl just had more and more about her I didn't understand. "I understand it's in the past but are either of us safe with you dealing drugs" I asked. She reached out and grabbed my hand. "I'll keep you safe" she said as she planted a kiss on my forehead. I felt safe and protected still with her. Nothing she did could make me not love her.
"I have some business to take care of but I'll be back" she said." Please be safe" I said."I'll try my best" she said. She kissed me again on my forehead and started walking away. I grabbed her arm before she left. I told her I loved her and she said it back.
She was gone for hours. Every moment she was gone felt like an internity. Still it didn't compare to how she must have felt with me. When she finally came back I couldn't believe it. Her eye bruised and swollen. Blood coming for her lip.
"Omg what happened to you? I asked. "Drug deal gone wrong you should see the other guy though" she said smirking. I had her come over to me. I gently pressed my fingers on her eye and kissed her.
"I'm so sorry" I said. She got silent for a second obviously the fear was settling in.
"Its ok I've had worse" she said. I couldn't imagine how bad things were for her before. I just grabbed her hand and did my best to reassure her. I moved over and let her lay on me hand and hand. I knew I couldn't protect her from all this stuff but I knew I could at least give her this. She pressed her head into my chest thanking me. My whole body ached in pain, but I didn't care it was worth it for her.
