rosé's pov

"mhm, looks like i have to go." i said and they check the time at their phones. "oh yeah, i also have to do something about the meeting." 

lisa said and she was the first to leave since she looked like she is in a hurry. 

"bye guys, also rosé-ah see you at school!" lisa said and i  waved my goodbye to her as she leave the café. i already told them about me transferring to the school same as them.

jungkook and chaeyoung is getting ready to leave. 

"yeah guys, mom is waiting for me bye unnie bye oppa!" chae waved her goodbye and went outside. 

"so do you want a lift?" jungkook insisted, "no thanks, i can manage." i said and put my shoulder bag to my shoulder. "if you say so, goodbye rosie see you next time." he said and left.

same day, 6:20 pmson chaeyoung's pov

i was walking peacefully in this alleyway near our residence and gripping tightly to my bag. i don't really trust alleyways so i think it's not that bad to be extra safe incase someone attacks me. i prepared my pepper spray, and proceeded to walk through the road with the lights flickering.

how come they don't fix street lights like these, they should really fix this as soon as possible.

i noticed my phone lit up and saw someone texted me. oh it was mom, she was asking me if i was near i intendedly put my pepper spray to the pocket of my jeans its because i can't text while holding a 5ml spray bottle. 

i already sent my response to mom and was about to put my phone back to my bag.

when someone attacked me from behind, and silly me didn't even noticed the presence and my reflexes at the moment where slow. and after all everything was black.

same day, 9:50 pmjungkook's pov

chaeyoung i swear to God, you better pick up your phone. it has been 2 hours since auntie asked me to come over and help contacting chaeyong since its almost an hour since chae last texted auntie. i dialed her phone number for the nth time and again.

the phone you have dialed is either unattended or out in coverage area.

oh my God chaeyoung, pick it up now!

"ugh, she's not answering!" jisoo noona ranted at my right which is also trying to contact chaeyoung who's unreachable. all of us are here, the spade, including auntie and uncle.
"me too, i can't contact her." yoongi hyung sadly said and i sighed heavily while approaching auntie and uncle.

"she's not answering, do you know if she had gone anywhere?" i asked auntie but i just received a hard punch from uncle. 

"we already told you to guide her everywhere, you know she is vulnerable and cannot always defend herself!" uncle exclaimed at me that made the others turn their attention at us.

i was still wiping the small amount of blood at the corner of my lip while sitting on the ground. jin hyung and the others ran to my back and helped me stand up. 

"don't blame it on jungkook hon, maybe he had something to do earlier. calm down oh gosh." auntie said and held uncle's chest. i bowed to them

"im really sorry auntie and uncle, me myself will never forgive myself if something had happened to chae." i said and walked away with the others.

where are you son chaeyoung?

while waiting for some costumers to come, i looked at the television near the counter and sat at the seat near the television. i switched it open and it directly went to the news.

"a body was found at the alleyways near the gwangju street this morning, 4:00 am. according to a shop owner that will remain anonymous, he saw the body hanging across his store. the body looked like it was tortured, and for further information we will look into the victim's belongings and contact the family or guardian."

God that is so merciless, i examined the censored body at the screen and saw a keychain near the victim's body, wait that keychain.. where did i saw that again.

chaeyoung?!

no it can't be her, we just saw each other yesterday. how can that happen?
