- chapter fifteen : talk

"so chaeyoung-ah-"

lisa stopped, that sits across us explaining when she accidentally mentioned chae's name (son). we're currently sitting at the lounge explaining rosé what to do or the duties as the student board's secretary.

me and rosé looked at her as she was stopped in her tracks.

"so rosé-ah, you just have to list the schedules, time, or ideas that the other members suggest."

i said while staring at lisa, whose hung her head low while biting her lips a bit. rosé just stared at lisa like i did and of course we get why she stopped talking.

i kinda feel bad for rosé because originally, chaeyoung is also her name and it's like a crime when or if we mistakenly call her by her true name just because of our passed friend. (son chae)

"okay, i do understand but there are meetings right? and it is at the café im working at so i don't think i can attend in the meetings due to my work-"

rosé was cut off by lisa, "why don't you just quit your job? since we have income for being a member in the student board." lisa suggested while i nodded. "yeah, i bet it's higher than your salary at haru café." i said.

"oh really? didn't know i can earn money in this school board, well give me a week before resigning." rosé said as we nodded and i spoke.

"yes, you are also excused most of the time in your classes since the school let us and also the meeting meals are free.

because the school already lend us a credit card just for the haru café, to make sure that we don't use it for shopping." i said as rosé and lisa chuckled at my statement.

"so for the whole day, we are going to continue the plan for the upcoming foundation day that is in three days." lisa said and we nodded at her. 

"mhm, see ya later guys at the café at 12 pm sharp. for now, go to your home or do whatever you want." i said as i carried my bag and waved at them.

friday, 9:30 am
rosé's pov

"heyo sis." i flinched at jimin oppa whose at the couch with someone, i guess its his co-worker. his co-worker's back is facing me.

so obviously i can't see him, and yeah his co-worker is a him. i just waved at him as he called me again.

i groaned and spoke, "what now?" i asked while my shoulders are hanging low. "didn't know that the student board has an income, is there any vacant positions?" he said as i faced him while my mouth is open wide.

"how the heck did you knew about that?" i said as he laughed, "oh stop, its not like you're the only one friends with the ace." oppa said while i just rolled my eyes at him.

"whatever, ask that ace friend of yours if the student board have one." i said as i headed to go up the stairs. "wait meet this friend of mine first." oppa said as i just faced them as his co-worker looked at me.

"hi oppa's friend." i waved as his co-worker walked near me, "its jaehyun, jung jaehyun." he said as he raised his hand for a hand shake. "okay, i could care less jung jaehyun." i said as i walked upstairs.

before i can close my room's door i heard jaehyun say to my brother "thank herself she's pretty." jaehyun said while jimin oppa laughed, "oh god jaehyun-ah, you're not her type." oppa replied while i chuckled a bit.

i directly plopped myself in my bed before unbuttoning my uniform and took of my shoes while setting an alarm for 11 am.

same day. 9:40 am
lisa's pov

i decided to just stay at the school before attending the meeting later, i am too lazy to go back home just for nothing.

maybe yes, i can rest but my parents aren't there either. if chae (son) is just here we could've bonded together.

well i could ask rosé or jennie unnie but nah, i choose to be lonely this time. i walked silently at the hallways since there are still classes at this hour.

"what if they knew about it? makes you more suspicious bro." i heard a man spoke near the lockers i think, i silently walked and listened carefully. this might be about chaeyoung (son).

"i don't really care-" the other boy was cut off when the other boy spoke, "oh shut it joon hyung." what? namjoon oppa? i flinched when i heard a punch sound.

i immediately went to where they are and looked at them, they're punching each other as i stood between them.

"stop you guys! what are you two talking about huh? is this about chaeyoung? did you two killed her?!" i said talking about my bestfriend. jungkook, the other man stared at me in disbelief "the heck lisa, i would never do that."

jungkook said while gasping, i looked at them slightly mad. "the what're you two talking about?" i asked and trying not to be loud. "nothing." namjoon oppa said while wiping the blood near his lips.

"nothing my ass, you two have been suspicious since the funeral." i said as jungkook sighed, "namjoon hyung was the first to see chae's body the day she died." jungkook said while staring at joon oppa.

"and?" i asked for further information, "she, she asked for my help and tried to call me, i saw the people who killed her but they were all masked and armed i was cared lisa, i- i just ran away. 

b-but i was the one who called the ambulance." he said but before he can say sorry i slapped him.

i stared at his teary eyes, "didn't i told you to turn over whatever the details you've forgot, and i thought this squad's motto is 'no secrets to be kept'." i said as i walked out. this squad is getting messed up, i just hope none of us killed chae.
