I can't believe it. I can't believe they said something like that. Am I going crazy? Are they? What is happening to me this year. I am at a loss of words.

"We can't tell her there are such things as werewolves, Connor. Just give her time."
I was upstairs in my bedroom talking to Bella and Max about what I heard.

"You heard it too" Bella looked at me with her mouth open.

"Yeah, are we going crazy? I mean, WEREWOLVES?" I looked at them with disbelief.

Max shook his head and spoke for the first time since we got up here.

"I heard it too." Bella and I looked at him with relief.

"At least we aren't crazy.. I guess.." I muttered.
I heard a knock on my door after a few minutes of awkward silence.

"We have a surprise for you Luc. Well two technically" My mother said in a sing-song voice.

"Uh- Okay, c'mon guys." We all went downstairs.

"It's in the barn. Follow me." We went to the barn and mom stopped us at Snow.

"Here's the first surprise." She said gesturing to Snow.

"What?" I looked from Snow to my mom, confused.

"Snow's going to have a baby!" I looked at my mom and squealed.

"Really?!"

"Yep! It's a boy! And your father and I decided to name it Philip Jr." I squealed even more and realized something, their second surprise.

"What's the second surprise?" I asked.
Mom leaded us to Philip's old stable spot. And there, in the food and water trough was fresh food and water.

"Mom?" I looked for her but then with a questioning look realized she left.
Someone suddenly blindfolded me and I started freaking out and squirming.

"Hey, hey it's okay. It's me, the blindfold was your mom's idea, figured it'd be more of a surprise." I felt relieved as I found out this information from Max.
We walked to the car with Max leading me since I have a blindfold on. We started driving someone and I felt excited but nervous to see where we were going.

"Where do you think we're going, Luc?" I heard dad ask.

"Uhh, I have zero clue." We all cracked up. From the laughter I could tell that everyone is with us, Mom, Dad, Max, Bella, and Connor.

"Mommmmm. Are we almost thereee?" I complained.

"We are here, alright, everybody out, Max can you please help Lucy out?"

"Yes ma'am." I heard everyone get out and Max took my hand and helped me out of the car. I heard multiple loud neighs and got excited.

"Are we going to a horse market?" I was shocked, my mom said this is where grandma got Philip, I never thought I'd ever  actually be here.
Mom took off my blindfold.

"Surprise!" Everyone said, even the staff!
"I-" I was completely speechless.

"So we're here at a horse market- Wait, does that mean-" I stood there gaping at the horses I could choose from. I saw one that caught my eye at the very end to the right, the biggest horse there.
I walked over to him and looked at his name.

"Phoenix.." I love that name. It's so unique, so pretty. He definitely looked like a phoenix.

"I see you've got your eye on Phoenix, eh? He's pretty alright, he's 14 going on 15." I heard a man behind me talking, one of the staff I suppose.
I smiled and nodded. Mom walked over and I could see her smiling big.

"So you figured out which one you want?"
"Wait, I get to- take one home?" I looked at her and could tell I was grinning like a fool.
She laughed and said that of course we were, and three more for Connor, Max, and Bella.

"You're buying Max and Bella's?" I asked.
Mom shook her head and chuckled.

"Their parents are paying for them, but until they get a stable for their own, they live near us so they will share a stable for their horses." I nodded and squealed but not loud enough to scare Phoenix.

"I'll miss Philip, but I think he'd want me to move on." I smiled and added, "Grandma too."

Mom nodded and we signed paperwork to get Phoenix and got him into the horse trailer. They must have added that when I was blindfolded.
About thirty minutes later Bella, Connor and Max also had chosen their horses and we left for home.

"I can't believe that I have another horse." I shook my head in disbelief and Max chuckled.

"Well, you better believe it because you'll be riding him later tonight." Max said while putting his window down.

We got home and got the horses settled in. Max's and Bella's parents were coming over for dinner so we decided to go for a ride with them afterwards.
"There aren't enough horses for all of us to ride together, mom." I told her once I got inside, Bella and Max were at the stables practicing latigo knots and saddling their horses.

"That's where you're wrong, the neighbors are letting us borrow four horses of theirs. Your father and I will just stay back and relax."

"You sure, ma?" I asked.

"I'm sure, by the way, we are going to let Snow stay here and rest, we can't work here too hard, she's only a month in her journey to being a mother. So that's another reason your father and I are staying behind, so we can watch her, make sure she doesn't get attacked."

"Alright, Ma." I smiled at her and just then the doorbell rang. Let the dinner commence.
