When we got to my house, I decided to take a shower while the others went outside and talked about school. After I got out of my shower, I got dressed and went downstairs. I decided in my shower to give Connor a chance. My dad said we would have a campfire tonight since it was nice out, and it was supposed to rain the next few days after tonight.
We sat around our fire and laughed, talked, and even roasted marshmallows after we cooked hot dogs over the fire. We told spooky stories as it started to get dark, Connor was the first one to tell one.
"Alright, this is gonna be a scary one," he looked specifically at me and I raised my eyebrow as he started his story. "It's called, 'The Girl in The Picture'. One spring morning, a young man was walking to work and on his way he found a picture of a young teenage girl." I shivered.
"She was extremely beautiful, she was smiling beautifully and holding two fingers up in a peace sign. The man became upsessed with the girl. He had no clue why, just, something about her entranced him. Got him hooked. He asked everyone if they knew her, showed them the picture. He grew desperate, went out of his town to ask far away people. No luck. No one recognized her. He would do anything to meet her." I see Bella shiver as well do I. "He returned to his house that evening, distraught that he didn't find anyone who knew her. He went to get a drink in the kitchen. Saw the beautiful girl across the street when he glanced out the window." He paused for special effect. "He was utterly shocked and speechless. She was lit by a street lamp, waiting on the other side of the road, smiling, waving. He ran out of his house immediately, heart pounding, so desperate to meet her, this mysterious beautiful woman. As he ran out across the garden and road, he was too preoccupied with the girl.." I held my breath waiting for him to speak. "He got ran over by the speeding car he didn't notice hit and killed... INSTANTLY!" I jumped and squealed when he said "instantly."
"You alright?" Max whispered to me.
"Yeah just a little-"
"Scared?" He answered and chuckled. I could feel myself blushing. Max put his arm around my shoulder and half-hugged me for comfort.
"The police arrived to investigate," Connor continued, "they found a picture of young girl lying next to him. Beautiful and smiling, she was holding up three fingers."

Bella gasped and asked, "So the number of fingers was the number of-"

"People she killed. Yep." Connor said.

I was in the middle of eating a s'more when out of no where someone jumped at me and screamed "BOO!"

"EEEEK" I screamed, dropping my s'more into the fire.

"Haha, you should have seen your face. It was hilarious" I glared at Max.

"I didn't even notice you left- Anyway. Can we talk about the fact that you made me drop a s'more into the fire?" I said, making a pouty face.

"I'm sorry. How bout I make you another one to make up for it?"

"Maybe that will work." I said still pouting. "But I would still be upset that you wasted a s'mo-" I was cut off by Max stuffing a s'more into my mouth. I glared at him then sat back down and enjoyed my s'more.

"Max, you want me to send you the video?"
"A video of?-" I asked.

"Of you getting scared of course." Connor replied.

"Oh sweet, yeah send it to me." I looked at Connor and my jaw dropped.

"Why would you do that to me?" I pouted again.

"Sorry lil sis, but it was too tempting to not do it." I pouted more, cringing at the nickname as I'd yawn.

"Your tiredddd." Bella teased.

"Oh, hush it." I said.

"We should head to bed." My parents said at the same time.

Everyone agreed and we put out the fire and headed inside to bed. When I was falling asleep, I thought about how Connor isn't that bad, maybe we would grow a better brother-sister relationship.
