Luckily Aria didn't have to travel to Oxford for the next two days as it was the weekend. She was glad the weekend happened to appear when it did, since she was still slightly traumatized from what happened the night before in the tavern with Sebastian and Lucius. She couldn't bear to head back to Oxford and run into Sebastian so soon after the incident. She thanked the Gods that there would be a two day respite so that everyone could mentally calm down.
Aria had woken up in the morning to about five missed calls, all from Sebastian. He hadn't left any messages, but Aria certainly wouldn't be calling him back. Definitely not. She was sure he was most likely calling to apologize or explain himself, but either way she couldn't stomach the thought of talking with him at the moment. She already dreaded the thought of Monday.
On the other hand however, the discovery of the magical little book that had called out to her and Lucius was incredible. Lucius and Aria thought that they had already unlocked so much history and information about the bond and meaning of their relationship, but it seemed as if this book was going to reveal even more amazing things to them about their connection as soul mates. The incident in the tavern had slightly detracted from the discovery however, and she knew Lucius was still stewing internally about it all. Mad at himself, and of course mad at Sebastian for completely overstepping his bounds and touching his woman. When her and Lucius had made love the night before, she had been surprised that he hadn't taken her roughly and dominantly as a means of releasing his anger at the whole situation. Lucius was naturally a very dominating man, even before he met Aria, and while he usually controlled that side of himself, she knew the one thing that could bring it out of him was when anyone hurt her or did her wrong.
Where was Lucius now?, Aria wondered to herself as she walked back inside from the blissfully peaceful nature around her. After breakfast Lucius had quickly retreated to his study while Aria had gone off for a nice walk throughout the gardens, as the beautifully bountiful spring flora and fauna were quickly emerging from their winter sleep.
As she walked back into the quiet Manor she made her way upstairs and still found Lucius in his study as he worked away on whatever projects he had been focusing on in that moment in time. She thought perhaps he would be working on the mysterious book they had found and brought back to the Manor, but it seemed as if he was working on something else entirely.
As she entered the small study, Lucius looked up from his work to quickly give Aria a slight smile, his grey eyes brightening a bit at the sight of her. She smiled softly back and made her way to sit on the side of his large wooden desk that he worked at. "What are you working on my love?" She inquired sweetly.
