It had been two months. Two months that had gone by in what seemed like a blur. A blur of emotions, completion and magic. Everything was different for Aria and Lucius, and yet the love they shared was even stronger than before.
Aria had heeled somewhat quickly. Lucius' blood had gotten her through the worst of it during her labor, and its healing effects seemed to speed up the process of her healing physically and emotionally. Lucius barely left her side. In fact the three of them (Aria, Lucius and the baby) were rather inseparable. Every day it seemed they would all either be in bed together, the parents staring lovingly at their miracle child as Aria nursed her or taking strolls through the warm gardens as a family; Astraea seeming to love being out in nature like her mother. Aria and Lucius would stare at her perfect rosy cheeks and her little blond head of fuzz and smile with the knowledge that their love created such a magical little angel baby. She was the most beautiful cherub-like baby in the whole world to them.
What was even more amazing to Aria, was watching Lucius become a father. Well he had already been a father before with Draco, but of course Aria had never gotten to see that time in Lucius' life, so she considered this moment him becoming a father again. It was such a beautiful thing to witness. Whether or not it was because little Astraea was a girl, Aria wasn't sure, but the way in which Lucius looked at her and held her small body in his large hands, the way he treated her like the most delicate of glass as he gently kissed her soft platinum head, it was mesmerizing to Aria. He was also such a good husband and would take Astraea anytime Aria was overly tired, or if it was late in the night. Lucius was perfection as usual. And the most amazing part was that he loved every minute of it. It was as if he was born for this moment; to be Astraea's father.
Astraea herself was incredible. Just like when she was in the womb, she already displayed mind-blowing amounts of power. Aria and Lucius had known that their baby would be special, as she had been constantly glowing with power while she had been inside of Aria, but seeing her magic manifest just as a newborn baby was the most amazing thing to witness. Her Veela blood must have been even more potent than Aria or Lucius' since she was both of them combined into one being, and so she often glowed even on days that were normal days, and not magically significant ones. Her rosy skin always seeming to have a slight golden shimmer to it.
One instance of amazing magic that Astraea showed was during one peaceful night. Aria had just fed her and had put her in her bassinet that rested next to their bedside. Astraea didn't sleep in her own beautiful room just yet, and so her bassinet was in the same room as Aria and Lucius. Aria thought that Astraea was sleeping, and so had gone to sleep herself. Suddenly about 20 minutes later, Aria was awoken by the glow of a very blue light that seemed to be permeating around the room, she had shaken Lucius awake who also woke up straight away once his eyes had fluttered open. They both realized that Astraea had somehow conjured her own Patronus. Little Astraea must had been so happy and content that her Patronus had come forth. A swanling of course; a swan that would one day grow up and be just like her parents' own Patronuses.
