Aria reveled in the fact that she was finally Aria Malfoy. Every time she thought about that little fact, her skin would break out into goosebumps, and if she wasn't currently next to her husband physically, her mind would always wander back to him; back to his handsome face, his gorgeous body, his intoxicating scent and the incredible wizard and man that he was. She adored him with all that she had, and it felt like during the weeks that followed their wedding, she was always smiling and always having a warm feeling in the depths of her chest and belly. She couldn't believe after everything they had been through together, they had did it.

One night, as Aria was waiting for Lucius to return back from a business meeting with a partner, she sat on the large, velvet couch near the fireplace in the library, enjoying a rather fascinating book on one of her favorite historical subjects, Queen Marie Antoinette. She simply adored that time period in France; the beautiful and gilded court of Versailles always seeming to lure her in with its promise of abundance.

Work had been slow for her after her major Oxford project, but she had been thankful that she didn't have to focus on work during the wedding and the time after, as it gave her the chance to really bask in all that she was feeling. She was simply happy and content; nothing was wrong in her life. Not many people could say that about their lives and Aria was truly grateful for that; although she knew if she were to go outside the Manor grounds she might have been hounded by paparazzi. Since security was rather tight at the wedding, no outside photographers had gotten a glimpse of the wedding of the century in the Wizarding World. Lucius had told Aria that every time he had gone out after the wedding, he would always notice someone snapping a photo of him. It seemed he minded less and less though, because all of the articles that appeared of him in the papers just commented on how purely happy he looked for the first time in his entire miserable existence.

As Aria continued to read her Marie Antoinette book, her eyes slowly became heavier and heavier by the minute, the warmth of the fire warming her body, which was dressed only in one of her delicate, silk robes. As her mind half paid attention to the book she had in her hands, and half paid attention to her quickly approaching dreams of Lucius, she heard from downstairs the large front doors open in the grand entry way and immediately felt whole again as she knew Lucius was back for the night.
