Wide awake
The night surrounds me
The bitter silence; a stake
Pierces my heart. Engulfs meMy heads too full
Scrambling thoughts, a long tangled wire
I shut my eyes. Thoughts. Images. Horrors-come charging like a bull
And sleep won't come, I'm on fireMy ears ache
My heart yearns
I seal my fate
Anguish takes turnsWhite noise, loud , piercing
Attacks mercilessly
Head aches, searing
Attacks achinglyThe one thing I crave I seem to lack
I don't crave, actually, I need
It's shunned me, turnt it's back
So I lay here let everything bleedWhilst my body refuses to take heed
It's this thing inside me
It's taking over consuming me
All I want is sleep
