You lost me today
and for that I'm so sorry

I'm sorry I've caused you such pain
I'm sorry I've made you cry
I'm sorry it feels like the world can't go on
I'm sorry the place I had in your life is now gone
I'm sorry it's been years since we last spoke
I'm sorry it's been so long since we shared a joke
I'm sorry we spent so many years apart
I'm sorry you now have to pick up the shattered pieces of your heart
I'm sorry we won't get to see each other grow
I'm sorry I've left such a gaping hole
I'm sorry for making it so hard to smile
I'm sorry for the cracks my absence has left on your soul
I'm so sorry for being a part of your trial
I'm so sorry my loss, is a part of your test
I'm so sorry your heart is left scarcely beating against your chest
I'm so sorry you had to lose me so young
I'm sorry word of my death ever had to reach your tongue
I'm sorry you won't get to see me live my life
I'm sorry you won't get to see me grow old
I'm sorry you won't get to see me married; see my wife
I'm sorry you will never again feel my hold
I'm so sorry to have left you all alone
I'm so sorry that I'm no longer here
I'm so sorry you have tried to call, but there is no one to answer the phone
I'm sorry this is the cross you have to bare
I'm so sorry I'm nothing but a distant memory
I'm so sorry this is all you have left of me
I'm so sorry you had to write yourself this letter
