An ode to the lady in blue
Flashing red and blue lights a
barrage of load knocks on the door
Four black boots stompLaying in a heap
her head over the bowl
Vomit stains the floor;
animating the stains on her soulUp she goes, she's dragged
in the back of a van
she sobs
she weepsOn black plastic she awaits
her turn
as the realisation of her actions
unfurl'Blurch' she heaves
humiliation takes hold
Her insides scream
she's aloneOn a stretcher she lay
As she awaits her fate
all alone
She waits afraidWith no one to hold her hand
or hold back her hair
no one to turn to
no one thereThe lady blue in stood
as she vomited as she heaved
as she lost control
as she peedThere she stood
Holding back her hair
in the end when she was all alone
The woman in blue was there
