Mum said "In with the Yellow out with the Blue"
I pondered for a while, suppose it's true
The darkness may come forth
But I'll attack with a vicious force

No longer will it plague my mind, mess up my head
No longer will I let it, poison the goodness I've been fed
I can do it, I know I will
This journey up the mountain-a trek up a hill

The sleepless nights and days of agony
Will be gone. Am I allowed to be happy?
The stains I've left on my heart and mind
Will no longer be there to find

What lay on my body my skin
Can be concealed despite the veil being thin
If you believe something long enough it becomes true
So I'll believe in "with the yellow out with the blue"

This dreary darkness has gone on to long
I'm here to belt out a beautiful melody-a song
Laughter, joy in its notes, it's words
A sweet twitter of the birds

One I'd say, has definitely not been heard
For me anyway. The lines will be unbluured
The cocoon I lay under, swept away
When you hear my laughter, see my smile and the light in my eyes that'll be the day

And that's when I'll say "In with the Yellow, Out with the Blue"
And that day it'll finally be true.
