i had heard rumors of another human in this realm, but i didn't know where on earth i'd find them. i had been dumped off by hunter about two weeks ago. and since then, i'd been on the run from the coven. i had guessed that it had gotten out that he never finished the mission and that i was on the run.

my feet lead me to bonesborough on a random day. "a single snail?! are you kidding me?!" a heard a woman ask. well more like yell-asking. as i turned a corner i saw a line trail up to a trading post.

"oh, ho, ho- i wasn't done yet." the owner of the shop broke the snail in half.

as the owner held a half up to the lady standing in front of him, she got mad. "you can't do this to me! do you know who i am?"

"yeah," the owner began, "you're eda the owl lady. what are you gonna do?" by the way his face laid, i could tell that he wasn't phased by the outburst. his head cocked to the side, "we all know you're powerless now."

the so-called owl lady growled and began to make a circle of magic. a small crowd grew around her. "hah! oh- what the-?" she was cut off by her magic failing her. a few murmurs flew from the others surrounding her. she obviously didn't like how they all looked down at her. "i don't need your pity. i was the most wanted criminal for years! you should fear me."

as she finished that statement of pride, a trash man walked by a took the wanted poster from her hands and crumbled it into the pile of trash he was pushing around.

the crowd dispersed and threw things of "no magic" or "not so powerful anymore, ey?" at her.

another witch trauted up to the owl lady and what looked like her child. a child with non pointed ears. the newer member laughed, "don't worry, sister. at least my image still commands respect and fear."

saying this of pride and them still standing didn't run in their family blood. just as the blue haired witch finished speaking, the poster of herself was blown into flames.

a small demon giggled and pointed at the witch, "haha, you're a traitor!" the demon wasn't wrong. i knew who the witch was. it was lilith clawthorne. she was still in the coven when i was left to die by hunter. but from the looks of it then, i knew she wasn't.

i had always thought it was weird to share the same last name with someone else in the coven. we both had thought it was a just fate, since i was a human and she was not.

lilith proceeded to yell at the person flaming her portrait. as i scanned over the others in the party. i noticed the child's ears again. they weren't pointed. i gasped and slapped my hand over my mouth. "the other human!" i mumbled, trying to keep calm.

i was going to walk up to them, but i stopped myself after three posters of the golden guard flew onto the wall behind lilith.

the human walked up to one and carefully took it from the wall. "the golden guard? did you know him in the coven, lilith?"

the elder witch snatched it from the human's hands. "unfortunately, i did."

'me too, lilith. me too.' i said mentally.

"he always got special treatment because he was the 'genus teen prodigy'." she finished in a mocking tone. she began to mash the poster into a ball and continued her speech, "but he's really just a brat. and if his in charge." lilith threw the paper ball, "vomit."

as the poster reached the trash bin, it began to fly back at the gang. it hit lilith right in the face. she grumbled and bellowed.

the owl lady walked in my direction as lilith stormed off. "hey i know!" the human started and taking eda's arm. "what we need is a confidence boost!" she squeezed eda closer to her, "why don't we take on the biggest bounty we can find? it'll be great!"
