You released a deep sigh from your throat, staring down the large double doors as if behind them stood your doom. The child in your arms shifted slightly, giving you a small sense of comfort. You rocked her gently, just wanting this whole deal to be over with.

That morning, you finally welcomed your daughter, Zelda, into the world. And while the kingdom was bursting with excitement, you, even as her mother, couldn't say the same. And it wasn't that you didn't love her, because by the goddesses you did.

It was only the fact that with everyone going wild with ecstasy, and the administration rushing the ceremony, you hadn't been left alone by anyone ever since you made the announcement that you were pregnant. And with your worrying all year it would only get worse afterwards, your fear was indeed confirmed.

All you had asked for was a little time to rest and spend with her, but according to Rhoam and the counsel, all of this was necessary and urgent at that. This few minutes was the only time all day you had by yourself with your own kid.

Finally, the doors were pushed open by two knights, dressed in silver and golden armor with light blue sashes, and you stood from your seat and patted down your gown with your free hand before walking past the two tall men. You saw your husband waiting at the balcony for you, and he extended his arm for yours.

You placed your hand in his, and he pulled you up so he could plant a soft kiss on your cheek before holding out both hands for his child. You handed him the tiny princess, and he raised her up over the crowd below, and you edged a little closer to the gold railing to get a better look.

Hylians, Zoras, Gorons, Gerudo and Ritos came from across Hyrule to see the new little royal, Princess Zelda. You smiled and waved to everyone below as Rhoam happily held your child up for them to see, but really all you wanted was to get some alone time with your own daughter.

You flopped down onto your bed, letting your exhausted body melt into the silk blankets. A part of you hoped that you'd sink so far into the mattress that you'd eventually disappear.

Rhoam sent Zelda in for one final check-up of the night, so for the first time in weeks - maybe even months - you had to yourself without doctors and maids in and out checking on you and helping you with every single little thing.

You rolled over to the center of the bed and pulled the blanket all the way to your shoulders before slowly drifting off to sleep for a while. Well, that was until your door was thrown wide open, and in walked your husband with a doctor right behind him.

"_____?" He called into the room, not noticing you asleep under your covers. You managed to lift yourself up, squinting at the light that was now flipped on and burning your eyes. "Oh, dear I didn't know you were asleep." He allowed the doctor to walk past him, and you collapsed back into your pillow with a short-lived sigh. "Well, now that you're awake, I'm going to have the doctor do one more check-up, alright?"

"No more check-ups, Rhoam..." You groaned, pulling the large comforter over your head. "I'm tired." You were hoping that this one time he would take to your words and leave you alone, but you should've known that Rhoam wasn't a man to sit for something after one try.

"Darling, it's good that we continue to make sure that both you and Zelda are completely healthy." He sat down at the end of your bed and reached to put his hand on your leg, but then quickly realized that you were curled up so he couldn't.

"We're just fine. You had us sent in for three appointments this morning alone, and you had me in seven of them in the two days before Zelda was even born!" You snapped, pushing the blanket out of your face and sitting up as much as your strength let you.
