“HALT!” Rhoam ran in towards Astor, who looked up at the distressed king. A small, devious smile crept onto his face, hardly noticeable by his enemy. “Stop what you’re doing right this instant.” He looked over the prophet, who only laughed and allowed the blights to wake up, now aiming their weapons at Rhoam.

“Listen, King Rhoam, I don’t need you telling me what to do. I’ve made up my mind. This is the path I’m supposed to be taking. Fate decides all, dear leader.” Rhoam took another glance over him. Realizing something familiar. The orb. The feeling and vibe that radiated off of him.

He was the one that killed his wife. His queen. The mother of his only child.

“You… you killed my queen.” He felt all the blood rush to his head and he started trembling. Astor knew he had one. Hyrule was his. All he had to do was let the blights loose, and everything would go how it was supposed to. No one held the triforce anymore, and the champions hadn’t yet been decided.
He didn’t consider one simple possibility.

Rhoam’s eyes were lit with yellow as he watched the illusion behind Astor raise up the triforce. Astor turned around slowly to see the queen’s malice form; eyes glowing yellow instead of pink now. She held up the symbol, aiming it towards Astor.

“My queen…” Both of the men whispered, and she lowered her hand down to face directly towards Astor. His chest was now wrapped in malice, and his eyes went wide as his entire body began to slowly lose senses. The malice wrapped around his neck, strangling him, and he could only smile and laugh with tears running down his cheeks as the golden yellow of the goddess’s power began to glow across the field.
The calamity and malice were quickly torn apart by the sealing power, and Astor was blinded by it as he lost all feeling and then everything went black.

Though still alive, Rhoam’s grief for the death of his wife would never leave him. He was somewhat at peace. Knowing Hyrule and Zelda were both safe now were the only things that mattered to him.

Astor – while spirit now – promised himself that he would forever kneel to the queen. Resting in the Lanayru Spring, he was down on his knees spouting apologies to Hylia’s statue. If ever reincarnated – he hoped he would know never to mess with the power bigger than him.

“I love you… I love you so much my queen… I hate myself for ever disrespecting you…” Was all he could manage to say, over and over again. She was listening, alright. She never returned his words. She could only listen. “Forgive me… I sit at the feet of the goddess Hylia as much as I do yourself now… I promise…”

The kingdom was finally at peace without his destructive plans to take down the kingdom of Hyrule as a whole. The queen was at peace, as was Sooga. The Yiga stepped down, following Kohga as their leader. While Astor swore to never leave your side, he too may have eventually found peace.
