“Hey _____.” Rhoam smiled as he walked into your room, closing the door behind him. “What are you doing?” He sat down next to you on your bed, scooting closer to you to see what you were reading.

“I’m fighting a Stone Talus, Rhoam.” You rolled your eyes, and he raised his eyebrow at you. “I’m reading.” You shook your head and he rolled his eyes now. “What do you want?”

“Zelda’s asleep.” He rested his head on your shoulder, peering over it to read some of the words. Stuff about the old Hyrule. You gave him a thumbs up and continued to read. “You and I have some time together.”

“Like we do every night?” You asked, and he shook his head. “What’s different about tonight?”

“We don’t have to get up early in the morning, my love.” He kissed your shoulder, and you huffed, patting his head.

“Rhoam, dear, I had a long trip this week. I’m exhausted and I would I appreciate a little time to myself.” You went back into your reading, and Rhoam nodded and kissed your cheek.

“Alright. You enjoy your reading then, dear.” He got up and went into your bathroom to change, and you happily continued your book. It was a few minutes before he came back, and he laid down and started rubbing your head. “We don’t spend much time together anymore, _____.” You only nodded with a short hum, and he let out a deep sigh. “We should go out to dinner tomorrow night.”

“Yeah.” You said, not paying him much attention. “We could do that tomorrow if you want.” You shrugged, and he nodded and reached out to caress your cheek, quickly realizing you only half heard him. He directed your face towards him, and then went in to kiss you. You let him, but it didn’t feel right. It wasn’t normal anymore. “How about we just go to sleep now?” You asked, and he agreed and turned off the lamp by his bedside. You turned over and turned yours off as well, and then you laid down.

“Goodnight love.” It was only a matter of seconds before you could feel Rhoam’s hands on your back, and he started giving you a massage. It was relaxing, yes. But at the same time it made you feel even more awful. All about your little ‘affair’.

There was nothing you could do about it but hope and wait for whatever was going to happen to happen.
