The last straw had been pulled for you. One more lecture from Rhoam, and you were certain he’d find a way to ban you from even leaving his sight. You shoved your stuff into your bag and snuck out of your room. You didn’t forget to kiss Zelda goodnight before you left, as she had fallen asleep in your room, and then you were gone.
You were thinking about heading to Gerudo desert where you knew you’d be safe, and at least there you could find your comfort in Urbosa. She knew you were having a hard time with Rhoam and she wanted to help you as much as she could.
Once you were outside of the castle, you got your horse and rode through the town, trying to be quiet enough so you wouldn’t wake any sleeping villagers up. Your horse seemed to understand your leaving just as much, as he was completely silent aside for the sound of his galloping hooves.
The guards didn’t seem to recognize you, with your cloak on and hood over your head. You only nodded to any that saw you, and they only nodded right back. So, you were safe for now. But you didn’t know how long it would take before you were noticed, not only caught out here but also being seen missing from your room.
You got out of the Castletown and began riding through Central Hyrule – a very nice time in the evening to be out there. The sky was gorgeous, and the horizon was endless. All you could hear were the crickets and owls, and the gentle breeze was the best feeling ever.
Foxes and squirrels were hanging out around the fields, and you did your best to avoid them and leave them in your own peace. It was all quiet and everything until you heard an unfamiliar growling noise behind you, and you turned your head back to see little read monsters chasing you.
“Zin! Go faster!” Your horse started running faster, and more monsters started popping up everywhere, causing him to have to jump over some of them. “You can do it, buddy. Just keep going and we’ll be fine soon.” He kept galloping across the plains and didn’t stop or slow down even a little bit until you were sure you lost the monsters.
But even after losing the monsters, you were faced with a new threat. Men with red suits and white masks. They were the Yiga Clan. You remembered Urbosa mentioning them. Telling you just how dangerous they were.
You hopped off your horse and pulled out your sword, waiting for one of them to lunge at you. Finally, one leaped towards you, and you blocked its attack and shoved it away. The rest of them came in to ambush you, but you weren’t having any of it. You started swinging, striking, slashing. Anything to get them away from you and on the ground.
You had managed to take down a good amount of them, but then one managed to knock your broadsword from your hand. You went with your first instinct and threw your leg out behind you, kicking down the one who hit your sword. You rushed over to grab your weapon, pulling your shield out so you could block any other attack so you could get your weapon.
But then it was grabbed.
“Well, well, well… what a nice sword this is.” An even taller man, who looked very similar to the rest – aside from his height, dueling swords and the spike like things on his head – grabbed your sword from the ground and held it up towards the moon light. “What would a young lady like yourself be doing out here in the dark? All by yourself?”
You looked down at his feet, noticing they were awfully close together. You slowly reached behind you to grab a rope from your backpack, and once you did, you quickly wrapped it around his ankles and yanked hard, bringing him to the ground. That gave you enough time to use your triforce and get rid of everyone there except for you and your horse.
“Sorry, bud.” You got yourself saddled up again before continuing to ride through the plains, putting your sword in its scabbard and your shield on your back again. You started to worry about what other threats would lie ahead of you, but really, there weren’t any others from there on out.
You reached the Coliseum, which was back-to-back with the Great Plateau. And there was a stable nearby so you could stop and rest safely with your steed. You crossed the path that connected to the coliseum, and shortly after you arrived at the stable. You let Zin stop to rest, and you went inside to get a bed. Rhoam likely wouldn’t think to find you at a stable, so you figured you were safe to stop for the night.
You flopped down into one of the inn beds after paying and set your stuff down next to you and drifted off to sleep. There was nothing to prove that you were the queen of Hyrule, not on you or in your bag. Since everyone working at the stable looked fairly young, you figured since you were never seen outside anymore, they couldn’t possibly recognize someone they’ve never seen.
