What on Earth?

"Hey I wonder what this thing does..." Said Max, fiddling with a little knob thing on the side of the stone. Suddenly he was surrounded by a glowing light.

Max glowed a yellow colour, Rex - a grey, blue sort of colour, and Zoe - emerald green.

Max's POV:

I saw myself start to glow and I banged my head on the tree in fright, a yellow light seemed to sit on me. What was happening? We all stared at each other in shock, until the glowing disappeared.

Then I looked back into the tree. "Hey guys check this out!"

Rex and Zoe came over to see what I had found. "Thats amazing! You found an egg? It looks artificial. Try open it!" Rex told me. I tried opening it, by twisting it but it slipped out of my hands and cracked open on the ground. Inside two cards were revealed.

"It looks like there is a triceratops on both cards! And it has the same lightning symbol as on the stone" I said in fascination. "Maybe you're meant to put them together or something?"
I put the normal triceratops card up to the straight groove in the stone and I slashed it downwards, suddenly the card disappeared, streaked across and turned into a fully grown triceratops it reared up and bellowed. We screamed, and ran behind some trees. "W..w..wow...a Triceratops!" Rex stuttered. The Triceratops turned its massive head to face us. "Max do something! You did this!" Rex yelled. "But I don't know how to!!", "try twist the little knob thing again!" He said.

I panicked as the Triceratops started trotting towards me so I fiddled with the knob again, then the Triceratops suddenly vanished and the triceratops card returned to my hand. "Thats soooo cool!" I said, "...was that real? Did that really happen?" Zoe asked. "Of course it's real! Did you see how it bellowed? There's still dust from when that happened!"

I wanted to see what happens if I did it again. So I slashed the card upwards through the groove.

General POV:

"Oh no Max!" Zoe cried out as he slashed the card again. It streaked and there appeared a little Triceratops chibi. They were so surprised at its appearance, as they were expecting there to be a fully grown one. "Aw isn't that cute!" Zoe squealed. Max walked up to it and whispered "hello there...", it leapt onto him in joy and he fell on the ground, the triceratops licked and nibbled him which caused him to laugh out from the ticklish feeling. "Hey..hey cut it out! You tickle!...Ouch!", and he bit down on Max's nose. "Well it looks like you've got yourself a baby triceratops Max!" Rex laughed.
