Dinosaur King

Home for two weeks

They arrived at the Taylor's house and Rock told a massive introduction of himself to Aki, Max's mum.

..."So what part of New Zealand do you come from?" Aki asked.

"...the North Island, Wellington, which is the capital." Rock answered.

"Wow, you came by plane then. What are your parents thinking?"

"Er...they just want me to learn more about Japanese I guess" he lied.

"Hahaha, that's nice...I see you also have brought your pet..." she said looking at the spinosaurus chibi before Max interrupted the conversation by asking about the sleeping plan. "Oh, so would you boys like to sleep in the lounge? I'll set up the room for you if you want" Aki asked them. "But only for tonight"

"Sure" they agreed.

"Zoe you can stay if you want to, though it sounds odd being a girl at a guy's sleepover..." Aki smiled.

"Oh, okay then, I might stay, I'll call my parents first." Zoe said eagerly. "Oh! Rex, Max, We forgot about the Easter eggs." She hissed.

"Oh. Oh well. We'll find them later." Rex shrugged.

8:30 PM, after dinner:

Max launched onto his mattress, Rex groaned and sat down on his, Rock was next to Rex, on his sleeping bag, and Zoe lay on the couch. The dinosaurs (in chibi form) ran around the room chasing each other.

"Calm down you guys!" Zoe warned them.

Chomp 'yapped' and jumped onto Max, instantly starting to tickle him. "He-he-hey! Chomp! Stop!" Max laughed. Ace ran around and jumped onto Rex, Paris jumped on the couch next to Zoe and the Spinosaurus ran over to Rock. Rock stared at what had just happened and suddenly his face scrunched up, trying to prevent himself from laughing.

"Ph...ph...mph...a...HA...HAHAHAHAHA!" He burst out, unable to keep it in. Everyone looked over and stared at him. "Well...that was awkward..." Rock mumbled, suddenly putting on a straight face. Then everyone started cracking up. Zoe fell off the couch, giggling, her face turning bright red and Rock lay, face on his pillow, nearly choking from laughter, Rex was laughing hard and Max was close to crying.

Then Max's mum called out. "Is everyone okay in there?"

"...y-yes!" Max replied in difficulty.

"OK then I'm going to bed. Don't stay up too late, I'll turn the lights off, and don't make to much noise" she said.

Dr Taylor peeked in. "Hey Rock, I've brought your Dino holder and a manual. Here, catch!" He said tossing them over. "Max or someone will explain a bit more about it. OK, goodnight!" He left, but then peeked back in. "Kids, I forgot to tell you that I received a photo from Brady in the museum in London, I've noticed there is a strange object next to one of the fossils I was examining. It looks like another elemental stone, so I've managed to book a flight tonight to go there tonight and check it out."

Max, Rex, Zoe and Rock sat up in silence. "Wow another one? OK then dad see you tomorrow maybe..." Max said, trying to keep himself from laughing again.

Dr Taylor left.

Rock discreetly snickered because to him Dr Taylor's explanation sounded like a poor excuse to travel.

"Hey, I just realised!" Max whispered out, "Rock, you haven't named your Spinosaurus! What are you gonna name him?"

Rock frowned at the randomness of the question. "...His name's...Apex."
