The cards

"A carnotaurus" I said in delight.

"And a parasaurolophus!" Zoe cried.

My dad turned the cards around.

"The carnotaurus has a wind symbol!"

"And the parasaurolophus has that grass symbol!" Zoe said.

Yes! Now we might have our own dinosaurs!

Suddenly dad jumped up and noticed me, peering through the screen. "Ah Rex, is that you?"

"I've been here the whole time"

"I hope you've remembered your manners while staying at the Taylor's house. You don't need me to go over them again?"

I groan "No thanks. I'm fine. Do you think you could send those cards here to us?"

"I sure can! I'll parcel them over to the lab, they should arrive first thing tomorrow morning. I look forward to hearing your analysis Dr Taylor"

"It'll be a pleasure Dr Owen" Dr Taylor replied.

"Rex, your very lucky to be staying with Dr Taylor, you can learn a lot from him, so pay close attention and work hard"

"Yes, I will"

"Right, I've got to get back to the dig. See you, call if you need anything and I'll send those cards right over to you, Bye!" The call ended.

I turned to see Max on the floor in laughter, being tickled by Chomp. Then I turned to Zoe. "Those cards had the same symbols as on our stones, so you know what that means? We could have our own dinosaurs by tomorrow!"

"I hope I get a really cute one!"

Dr Taylor came over and started complaining. "What about me? If anyone should have a dinosaur around here, it's me! I need one of these!" He said picking up our Dino holders and worshipping them.

Reese came over and told him to pull himself together.

She put a set of massive books down. "What are those huge books for?" Zoe asked. "These are Dino holder manuals"

"Why do we need a manual?" Max groaned, with Chomp clinging onto his head.

"The Dino holder does more than swiping dinosaur cards. There is a carrier for the stone and there's more storage for extra cards too. So read the manual thoroughly" Reese said, as she held on to Dr Taylors wrist, he was struggling to move. Funny, a man like him straining against Reese.

I gasped as I was given a book, it was sure heavy.

"These will take a year to read!" Zoe grimaced as her sister dropped Dr Taylor.

"I give up!" He whimpered.

"Most of the pages are blank, so you shouldn't complain. We still don't know a lot about the stones so when we find out more it will be written into the book" Reese explained.

"Well that's a relief" Zoe sighed.

Max's POV:

I was confused. I looked at dad lying on the floor. "Dad, I thought we were going to keep all this a secret? Or have you changed your mind and told every dinosaur expert in the world about it?"

"Relax, the only other person that knows is doctor Owen, he is Rex's dad and my colleague after all, and I've learned a lot from him so I thought he would be helpful in studying this case"

"I agree. OK then"

"You're forgetting. There are others who know too. The Alpha gang." Rex scowled.
