"Wow, that was really something wasn't it Rinnie?" Luna said walking down the side walk towards the parking lot. She had her hands stuffed in the pockets of her pants trying to keep them warm from the chilly February air. The January snow had all melted but the cold temperature remained.Rin nodded only half listening to what Luna was saying, images of the concert were running through her mind. Jimins eyes on her, the feeling of his hand grabbing onto hers. Then there was the paper, she was slightly scared to open though she wasn't sure why.
Luna unlocked the car and Rin crawled into the passenger seat. Luna got into her seat, turning on the car and then looked at Rin. "So," She said expectantly.
Rin furrowed her eyebrows in confusion until she looked down at her friends' hands. Luna was holding out the paper Jimin had given to Rin. "Oh." Rin said taking the paper from Lunas hand hesitantly.
She unfolded the paper slowly and carefully, trying not to rip it. Her breath caught in her throat when she looked at the familiar writing on the paper.
"Oh, how cute! It's a picture!" Luna said smiling Rin flipped over the paper and saw what Luna was talking about. Except she didn't even need to look at it to know what it was, because she was the one who drew it. "I wonder when they started doing that. Do they just pick a random fan or was that just something Jimin did on his own? Does it say anything on the back?"
"Um, it just says from BTS to Army we purple you. Stay with us." Rin said quickly though she wasn't sure why she had lied to Luna. It was just the first thing that came out.
"Awe, that's nice. Well have to frame it and hang it up." Luna said putting the car into reverse and pulling out of the parking lot.
Rin stared at the new note that was written underneath her own:
To Rin,
Surprise! I bet you weren't expecting this right? You remember me right, the guy you met in the park a month ago? I hope so, or this is going to be embarrassing. I wanted to thank you for what you said to me that night, it helped more then you know.
Anyway, until we meet again, don't leave me waiting.
-Jimin/ sad boy in the park
She couldn't believe her own eyes. It was him, the guy from the park. It was Jimin she had met a month ago at the park and talked to for so long.
"Don't leave me waiting." She thought to herself. "What could that mean?" Rin was silent for the rest of the ride to the apartment, thinking everything over."Does he want to meet me?" She thought as Luna pulled into there parking spot and placed the car back in park. "What should I do?"
Luna opened her door stepping out of the car and Rin did the same. Once Rin was out of the car she looked in the direction she knew the park was in and made a decision.
"Unnie, you can go inside. I think I'm going to go for a walk to clear my mind. I think I'm still all worked up from the concert." Rin said closing the car door and backing away.
"Did you want me to join you?" Luna asked her but Rin just shook her head and smiled. "Okay, be careful though." Luna waved Rin goodbye and walked towards their apartment while Rin turned and made her way back to the park where she had met Jimin on that January night a month ago that day.The spot looked different without all of the snow covering the ground. But the most notable difference was Jimin, or lack thereof. She walked slowly towards the bench and ran her hand across the spot he had been sitting replaying some of their conversations in her mind with a smile on her face.
"His favorite number was 3, his favorite color Blue, and he worked with his friends." She thought to herself again. "I should have realized sooner." She told herself out loud.
"I'm glad to see you didn't forget about me." She jumped at the sudden voice and looked up to see someone standing in front of the tree line. It was the spot she had been standing in a month ago when she first met him.
She smiled and laughed slightly. "How could I?" She sat down on the bench and patted the spot next to her. "Imagine my surprise though when I saw this." She told him holding up the paper.
He laughed loudly. "Yeah, I wish I could have seen your reaction. I'll bet it was priceless. You could always reenact it for me." He replied with a laugh walking towards her but instead of sitting down next to her he leaned up against the tree trunk with his arms folded across his chest.
"I'm glad we got to meet again, and I'm not just saying that because its you. I really did enjoy talking to you that night." Rin told him slipping her cold hands between her thighs.
"Me too. I was really worried I wouldn't be able to find you. I knew you were going to be upfront but I wasn't sure how close you'd be." He reached up his hand and picked a leaf off of a low hanging branch and started rubbing it between his fingers. "I couldn't believe it when you ended up right in front of my face."
"You know now that I think about it, I'm kind of mad at you." Rin said crossing her arms and looking back at Jimin through narrowed eyes.
He frowned opening his eyes wide and pointing to himself. "Me?"
"No, the tree! Yeah, you." Rin said. He looked sad for a moment until Rin smiled and laughed, then he just stared at her curiously. "You made me tell you who my bias was. You're not supposed to tell the members who your bias is right to their face." Rin pouted
Jimin smiled and laughed. "It's no big deal. It'll just be that much more satisfying when I finally actually become your bias." He smirked deviously.
"Well, good luck." Rin told him
