"How was your day yesterday?" Zuri asked placing her book down on the table and sliding her book mark in between the spine. She leaned forward folding her arms on the table in front of her.

Namjoon took in a deep breath and sat back. Biting down on his lip and looking around the café he thought about what he wanted to tell her. He picked up his drink and worked the straw underneath his mask and took a refreshing sip.

"Well, I visited a friend in the hospital." He told her not expecting her panicked reaction.

"Oh no! Are they okay?" She sat up straight in her chair, palms flat on the table, worry in her eyes for a person she didn't even know.

Namjoon couldn't help but smile. "Yeah, she's okay."

Her eye brows raised and her shoulders slumped ever so slightly. "How did she get hurt?" She stroked her chin with her thumb, and her bottom lip disappeared into her mouth..

"She's a police officer, actually she was involved in stopping that serial killer. Shes incredibly brave, and strong." He spoke with so much pride in his voice. He smiled, though Zuri could only tell because of the way his eyes scrunched.

"Her boyfriend must be very proud." Zuri said nonchalantly tracing circles in the table. She glanced up innocently at him from the top of her eyes waiting for his response. "I mean, I was reading about that guy he sounded pretty scary." She glanced down running her hands down her thighs.

Namjoon chuckled, "Yeah, you could say that. Jin hasn't left her side since it happened. I'm glad he has her though, he deserves to be happy." He felt his nerves tighten when he said Jins name but she didn't seem to take note of it.

Zuri smiled lightly and relaxed into her chair and took a small bite of her brownie she had on the napkin in front of her. "Well, that's good. How about you though? Are you looking or do you have someone?"

He shook his head folding his arms across his chest. "No, though I suppose if I did she wouldn't be very happy with me meeting up here with you all the time." He chuckled.

Zuri raised her eyebrows. "All the time?"

Namjoon blushed and squirmed in his seat. "Well, I mean I was thinking maybe we could meet regularly and talk about books. I don't really know many people who read like you, its been nice having someone to voice my thoughts with." He shrugged.

She nodded in understanding playing with the pages of her book. "Perks of being a teacher I suppose." She laughed. "I suppose I also enjoy talking to another adult for a change. Maybe we should make this a regular thing, although our winter break ends in little over a week."

"That's fine, we can meet on the weekends or after school." He shrugged

Zuri smiled, "Well, in that case I'm really looking forward to continuing to talk to you."

Namjoon felt his cheeks heat up and he found himself extremely grateful she couldn't see his face. Though he wondered how long he should continue hiding his identity from his new friend. On one hand she seemed nice, smart and funny but on the other he just couldn't know how she would react to the news. Then he had a thought.

"So, besides books what else are you into?" He asked as casually as he could.

Zuri pursed her lips and her eyes drifted up as she thought. "I like to write I suppose, I don't really have time for tv; though you put on an episode of a good crime drama, you can't expect me to resist." She laughed, shaking her head. "Other then reading, writing and crime dramas, I don't really do anything."
