Ha-Kun eventually led the other team away leaving only Jin, Rin, Hobi and Yoongi. "So what's the plan?" Yoongi asked leaning against the wall propping up his foot.
Jin looked nervous, not sure. He wasn't really used to leading the teams. Namjoon was already the leader of the group so he was sure he was having an easier time then Jin was with this. He had always envied Namjoons natural leadership abilities, his sense of calm in the face of trouble. Jin was the oldest yet he still usually looked to the others when it came to everything.
"Jin?" Rin looked at him expectingly with a calming smile. Some how with just one look, Jin could see how much faith the young girl had in him. She was looking to Jin, not anyone else to lead their team to victory. And somehow that gave him all the courage he needed.
"Alright, so here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna split into two teams, team Sope, and team Jin." Jin laughed nervously, he looked around and surprisingly he had everyone's attention. They were each looking to him to lead. It felt good, "Rin and I will take the base. Yoongi, Hope I'm counting on you to defend our base." The two boys smiled and nodded in understanding.
Jin rested his hand atop Rins head shuffling it around a bit earning a small giggle from the cute girl. "We got this don't we Rin-ie?" She nodded quickly in reply. "Good now Hope you'll defend the base from the left and Yoongi you got the right. Keep moving and don't let them back you into a corner. Also don't let them get to close, call over the team radio if you get into to much trouble. If we're close enough we'll try and circle back."
The lights dimmed signifying the game was about to start. So Jin stepped forward and turned to his team one last time. "Yoongi, Hope try and control a good amount of distance from our base. And good luck." He told them with a wink. They all stepped forward as the gates slowly began to rise.
The arena looked big, it was definitely a maze, plenty of spaces to hid. He had no doubt in Hobi, and Yoongis ability to hold the base. The way the place was built, holding was definitely much easier then capturing.
Once the lights flashed green it was time, Jin and Rin rushed forward leaving the base in the dust. They each stayed low to the ground, a task that was much easier for one of them in particular. They kept low hopping between cover trying to stay hidden.
"Rin stay close, I think I can hear movement ahead." Jin whispered back to Rin who just nodded silently in reply. He put his hand back signifying her to stop, so she did as she was told. He peeked out from behind the wall and looked around.
They walked closely together in silence. He glanced over at her every now and again to make sure she was having an okay time keeping up. Jin hadn't really noticed how big the place was until then, but somehow it made the silence all the more unbearable.
Jin bit the inside of his cheek and peeked around quickly to make sure he didn't see anyone from the other team. "So, Rin are you excited to be working on the team now?" He asked her
She smiled and nodded to him in reply. "Yes, very. Being with you guys is my second favorite thing to do. So I might as well get payed to do it." She joked with a small giggle.
He chuckled in response, "Yeah, I guess so. What's the first."
She looked at him with a look that said "Why are you even asking." He really didn't have to. He had only talked to Luna a few times when she had called Yoongi during tour, since he shared a room with Yoongi. But from the few times they talked he knew the love of the two girls went both ways.
There was a bond between the girls that had clearly been formed through tough times. Luna had hinted that there had been more under the surface but didn't want to tell them. He understood but still wondered how much the girls must have gone through.
