Third-person POVThe blonde-haired man strolled into his mother's office with so much confidence exuding him, greeting her with a bow then a warm hug.
"What brings you to my office?" his mother asked after retreating from the hug.
"I just wanted to see you," he said, batting his eyelashes at her. She laughed.
"I'm serious, Da In. What do you want?" his mother asked yet again, heading back to her seat.
"Ok, so mum, I know this might be a huge favour I'm asking of you. But can you please help me stall someone tomorrow?" he pleaded.
"Of course," his mum answered, looking up at him.
Da In explained how he needed his mother to stall then bring Amethyst to his house because he wanted to help celebrate her birthday.
"It's her birthday tomorrow?" His mother asked. "I see...so how do you want me to stall her?" She asked again.
"You could do anything fun, maybe take her to the mall, anything fun at all," he repeated. Se-Kyung looked into his eyes and noticed the joy, freedom, and passion he felt every time he spoke about this young lady. Then she smiled.
She had realized just how much Amethyst made her son a sparkling ball of sunshine within three months, and she was thankful that he had found happiness and was more than joyful herself. She then sent him off with a kiss on the cheek and a mummy bear hug.
"Mum, please don't kill me," he barely squeaked, struggling to breathe. His mother laughed at him and let him out of her clutch.
Da In had walked to the underground basement when he realized he needed someone to help him plan, "and I know who exactly that is," he thought out loud. He walked to his car, then got his phone out and called his best and only friend.
"Oi chingu!" he heard Felix shout breathlessly from the other end of the line. Da In reacted by pulling the phone away from his ear and scrunching his face. "Can you stop screaming for once and talk calmly," he insisted, quite agitated with Felix.
"And what's that noise?" he asked. "I was having the time of my life before you called," Felix replied, chuckling.
"Eww, that's fucking disgusting," he said, disgust laced in his voice. "No, it's not. How do you think you were born? Besides, you asked, not me."
"Please don't even talk about that. I don't want to think about my parents having sex. Anyways, can you come over to my house? I have a favour to ask of you," he asked. "Yeah, sure, but you are going to pay for disturbing me, especially during such a critical moment," he replied.
Felix hung up first, and Da In was left traumatized that he had done the equivalent of catching his best friend having sex. He shuddered and opened his car door, and stepped in.
Da In's house
Da In had been waiting for Felix for a total of twenty minutes when the front doors to his house burst open, and his younger sister walked in.
"Are you dating her?!" she shouted. "Who is it? Do I know her? I hope she isn't one of the snobby chaebols?" she just kept on bombarding him with questions left, right, centre.
"Lee Seol, what do we do in these types of situations?" he asked her gently like she was a ticking bomb that was about to explode. If you looked at it, she probably was going to explode.
"Breath in, breathe out," she said while practising what she was saying. After calming down, she asked her brother the same questions she had asked earlier, and he answered all of them.
