Opposites || KARLNAP

Chapter 20

After Karl had finished changing his clothes, he longed for his friends approval.
"How do I look?" He said.
Alex turned around and his eyes scanned Karl's outfit.
"Karl! You look hot!" Alex said, causing Karl to giggle out of confidence.
"Thank you. So much, you don't know how much this means to me. Thank you for everything."

A few hours have passed, Alex advised Karl to take a shower so his hair would look extra fluffy. So that's what he did.

After he finished having a nice cold shower, Karl couldn't stop thinking about  his date. He was both excited and nervous, but he tried to push his nerves away so he could just enjoy it.

Karl changed out of his wet, dripping towel, into his nice, snazzy clothes. Alex was waiting downstairs for him, making one of his "special smoothies" too boost Karl's confidence.

After Karl's appearance was ready, he walked downstairs to be greeted by Alex and his friends mother.
"Karl! You look so pretty!" Mrs Johnson said, smiling brightly. "Your mystery boy will be so lucky to be on a date with you."
"I-I.. thank you. The boy isn't a mystery though. I'm not embarrassed or shy about him. It's Sapnap. Someone from school. Alex knows him." Karl smiled back. He realised he was saying short sentences, which was something Karl did when he was nervous. But he tried to ignore it.

"True! I know him! He's hot." Alex giggled from the kitchen, which wasn't that far form where Karl and Mrs Johnson stood.
"Ooooh. Hot you say? Exciting! Have fun okay, Karl?" The older lady smiled and placed her left hand on Karl's shoulder. She smiled supportively, which made Karl's worries fade away.

"I'll try. Can I go now? No offence, but I don't really want one of Alex's special smoothies..." Karl giggled.
"Of course kiddo. Is your date here yet?" Mrs Johnson replied.
"Let me check.." Karl replied, taking his phone out his pocket. He had received a new message from Sapnap.

Sapy
I'm outside. Come on, darling.

Karl read it and smiled.
"Yep. He's outside. Goodbye, thanks for letting me come round. Let Alex know I'm grateful for the help." Karl smiled as he walked out the door, Mrs johnson smiling and waving at both boys, clearly embarrassing Karl.

When Karl climbed into Sapnap's car, their eyes met and Sap smirked.
"Well hello, pretty boy." The words left his left his lips and it was like music to Karl's ears.
"Hey. Sorry if I'm a bite late." Karl smiled back and buckled his seatbelt.
"No worries darling. Who's the crazy lady in the house?" Sapnap replied. Karl still felt giddy at the name 'darling' but tried to be cool about it.
"Alex's mom. She's kinda like a mom to me. She's amazing." Karl smiled, brightly out of pure happiness.
"That's great, Karl." Sapnap smiled. He placed one hand on the steering wheel and the other on Karl's hand.

They began driving east, Karl was oblivious to where the other boy was taking him. Which made him even more eager.
