Opposites || KARLNAP

Chapter 5

"Come on! It'll be fun." he says, again and I finally give in.
"Okay. Fine. I'll just go to the library after.." I say, fidgeting with my fingers.

Karl POV.

I watch through the windscreen as Sapnap drives along an unfamiliar street. I've never been around in this area of my town. All the houses look so posh and modern. Much different to the vent in the library I'm used to sleeping in.

Suddenly, he takes a turn and drives along an empty road. Both sides of the road are just fields. It seems so lonely, but in a comforting way.

I see an upcoming house ahead and I assume that's our destination. Sapnap pulls into the drive and then turns off the car.
"We're here." He says as he opens his door and gets out the car. I also climb out and he leads me up his driveway.

We reach the large, grand front door and Sapnap pulls out his keys from his pocket. After fiddling with them in his hands for awhile, a quiet noise is made which indicated that the door was now unlocked. Sapnap put the keys back in his pocket and opened the door. He leads me inside and I shut the door behind me.

My eyes are suddenly overwhelmed. His house is so beautiful. The walls are a dark wood colour, but I think it's just wallpaper. The floors are covered in a posh grey carpet and the hallway is long and decorated. A big clock hung on the left wall, it has a black ring and the numbers are in Roman numerals. His house was such a mercerising sight.

I guess I had been staring for quiet a while because I then suddenly noticed Sapnap waving his hand in my face, trying to get my attention.
"Hello? Earth to Karl?" He repeats, again and again.
"Oh-.. Sorry about that." I say, regaining my consciousness. "You have a lovely home." I finish.
"Thank you! Would you like a tour?" He asks me, removing his hand from my face and sliding it into his pockets.
"That'd be cool." I say as a big smile creeps along my face.
