You exited your father's study, biting your lip. You gazed over at Paya, who was leaning against a bookshelf with her eyes closed.

'If that's his name... and the contact of our hands caused that reaction... Oh no.'

"Where is he, princess?" Paya asked, straightening up.

"I let him go," you muttered nonchalantly, waving your hand in a casual manner.

"What?" she hissed, raising her eyebrows.

"He's innocent. He... doesn't want to be a Yiga, doesn't want to be a cold-blooded killer. I, for one, admire his courage," you scowled, folding your arms.

"Not a wise decision, letting him go. Who knows how much power he has?"

"I believe he is a good man. As should you."

"But, my lady... we cannot ignore that-"

"I know what you are going to say. We cannot ignore that he is a Yiga. It's clear to me that you dislike him."

"Of course I do!" Paya scowled.

"Why?" you asked, scowling back. "Because of his heritage? You hate him because of his heritage? That's exactly what he doesn't want."

"I don't care about a Yiga's wishes," she spat back.

You clenched your teeth, and shot her a dirty look. "And I don't want you to help me with this. If you're going to be such a negative influence, I'm going to leave. I do not wish for you to ruin my mood."

With that, you strode off, feeling sure you had done the right thing. Sure, you had to have been mean in the process... but isn't it better to protect a loved one? Instead of getting them mixed up in a horrid affair.

"What was the reason the Triforce started glowing on my hand before..." you murmured, examining the back of your (most dominant) hand.

A sudden knock at your door shook you out of your mixed thoughts.

Most likely Paya... coming to scold you from how you acted in the library.

"Listen, I'm sorry." You opened the door. "I did not mean to- Lisa?"

Your friend was at the door, smiling.

"I brought you some (favourite drink). I hadn't seen you earlier, and yesterday you looked stressed."

"Aw, that's so sweet of you!" you grinned, bowing your head. You took the cup/glass from her and had a small sip.

"Anytime! I was going to bring it earlier, but I had to do some cleaning. I managed to sneak away," she laughed. "Right. I have to go, but-"

"No, wait a moment, please." Lisa turned to you.

"Yes, Princess?"

"My hand, it... started glowing yesterday. I have some information to tell you."

You recounted all of your experiences with the Yiga, from your fight to the meeting in the library.

"Hmm... and you say his hand had the same reaction? That's odd. The Triforce... on a Yiga's hand?"

"I know it sounds absurd, but... what if this means something?" you asked, biting your lip. "Am I wrong to trust a Yiga?"

Lisa stayed silent, with her eyes closed. She was most likely just trying to recall something she had read before.

"I wouldn't say you're wrong to trust them... remind me of what he said."

"He doesn't want to be a Yiga, or be known as a killer, but as a knight instead."

Lisa gasped.

"What is it?" you asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Y/N, if he was going to join the knights, wouldn't he have already signed up? It's been two days since he got away."

She was right. Had you been decieved?

"What have I done?" you wailed. "I've just let a possible murderer loose!"

"No, I think you were right to do so. Give him the benefit of the doubt."

_-MEANWHILE-_

The boy smiled to himself, then vanished from his hiding spot on the balcony.

He reappeared in a dimly lit room, one with an altar filled with bananas.

The long table was deserted, except for a single man who sat in the shadow.

"So, how did your mission go?" he asked, leaning into the light. "Find any new information?"

The boy jumped, then slowly took his white mask off. "They grow suspicious of me, Lord Sooga. The princess' maid says that if I truly wanted to be a knight, I would've signed up by now." He shrugged. "She's smart."

"I still don't understand why you joining the knights must be a part of our plan."

The boy's mouth went dry as he thought of an excuse. "Because if I am appointed her knight, then that means she will lower her guard around me, and I can," he hit the table with his fist, "strike. It's a foolproof plan."

Sooga nodded, then dismissed the soldier with a wave of his hand.

The boy pulled his mask back down, and left.
