Y/N POV

Elias walked us to exactly where we'd predicted. The large atrium at the heart of the base that provided minimum opportunity for escape. He wasn't the most trusting and after our last escape ended with a bullet in his torso, I doubted he wanted to risk a repeat.

He clicked his fingers and two guards held Jess's arms out while another placed a knife to her throat.

"Spill what you know or I spill her blood." Elias snapped.

"That would be very stupid Elias... and we both know you're not stupid." I quipped and he rolled his eyes.

"I'm bored on your games soldier. Either give me information I can use and make yourself valuable or say your goodbyes." Elias replied.

"If I die today, so does your son. You should learn to behave yourself Elias." I snapped and he stiffened.

"What made you think you're in charge here?" he growled through barred teeth.

"Surely you didn't forget that I always call the shots." I said smugly.

"Shots is the first signal. Alpha team, go!" Steve called out.

"Speaking of shots... how's your bullet wound? All healed up nicely is it?" I asked condescendingly.

"No thanks to her" Elias said glaring at Jess.

"Like Kayleigh said, we hoped you were dead" she spat in return and I grinned.

"What is you plan then soldier? How do we remove the threat that is the Avengers?" Elias asked, still glaring at Jess.

"Precisely and painfully." I said slyly and a grin creeped onto his face at the mention of pain. Sick bastard.

"What about our Soldat? I'm surprised he's still breathing after what he did to you." Elias said and my anxiety increased. I feared Elias would say too much and Bucky would hear. After everything that had happened, this was not how he was going to find out.

"There were complications." I strategically replied.

"Complication is the second signal. Bravo team, go!" Steve said through comms.

"How complicated is slitting one man's throat when you're with him everyday?" Elias snarked.

"I would've gotten caught." I snapped.

"I wouldn't have thought that would matter to you after he-"

"Barnes isn't our only target, stop being narrowminded!" I interrupted before Elias could reveal my sister's killer so bluntly.

Elias regarded me for a while before a smirked spread across his face.

"You fell for him, didn't you? We must have screwed you up more than I thought." He laughed.

I said nothing. Anything I could say would sound like an excuse.

"Let me let you in on a few of their secrets then to ensure your... loyalties are severed." He said slyly and he pulled a tape player out of his pocket. He pressed the play button and Bucky's voice echoed around the atrium.

"You can't save her"

*Fast forwarding tape sound*

Nat's voice, "She's still a bitch"

*Fast forwarding tape sound*

Nat- "You care about her?"   /  Bucky- "Y/n? Hell no!"
